Cmass wrote:Glad you asked. Here is where I got that quote. 5th paragraph down. However, the whole thing is absolutely hilarious:
http://www.answersingenesis.org/article ... -an-excuse

And here is yet another piece from their website. The underlined is the kicker:
the museum demonstrates the difference between the evolutionary mindset and the mindset that Christians should have from Scripture.

And while trying to find the quote again I came across their tour of the Ark exhibit. I laughed out loud when I saw this. I am still having trouble believing that adults take this seriously. It is absolute childish fantasy and irrational by nearly any measure. Notice the saw job on the huge beams and railings as well as the fit and finish work on everything else. I asked this same question in another thread I started concerning Noah's gorgeous wife: Beyond the fantasy itself, why present scenes so far removed from the time? Why draw Noah's wife as a beautiful white woman and why make an Ark exhibit using sawn, planed lumber? It does not help the presenters of the fantasy one bit:
Unbelievable! When he said ...
"Instead, God’s Word is placed first and human reason is last."

... I tripped out. That was an actual quote that you posted earlier. I thought it was a sarcastic comment that you were making, not something someone was actually saying. I am ... amazed that anyone would make a comment like that.

And there is more!
At its location in northern Kentucky 2 exits west of the Cincinnati Airport, this $27 million “walk through history” museum will counter evolutionary natural history museums that turn minds against Scripture – and Jesus Christ, the Creator of the universe.
I'm sure Jesus would be proud that Christian money changers spent $27M on this temple.
So, museums such as the Smithsonian or the American Museum Of Natural History turn minds against scripture? Really? Wow!
And Jesus Christ created the universe? Really? I've never heard that claim before - and yet there it is on the home page of the Creation museum.

Incredible.
Someone please change these people's diapers - I'm too busy with my 2 year old.

Sorry, I've been extremely busy these past few weeks. We had a major code deployment with our largest customer this past weekend. And there has been a lot of pre and post activities related with it. Plus working on 2 other websites on my side job. My Sunday School director job has been ramping up. I've had to take pictures at school this week as one of the class photographers. As well as preparing for Thanksgiving and Christmas.

I keep on saying, OK, need to write something in that thread. But it's keeps on getting bumped. And unfortunately, it looks like it'll be quite busy until the rest of the year. But, I'll try to get back to the thread when I can.

Well, it looks like I'll be tied up for the rest of the year. I've completed one website project, now I need to complete my church's website. And plus planning on taking a trip to the US Virgin Islands during the Christmas break. So, it'll be next month before I'll be able to start debating again. But, I'll still be around doing moderating and admining.
