Deuteronomy 21 instructs:
10 When you go out to war against your enemies, and the Lord your God hands them over to you and you take them captive, 11 suppose you see among the captives a beautiful woman whom you desire and want to marry, 12 and so you bring her home to your house: she shall shave her head, pare her nails, 13 discard her captive’s garb, and shall remain in your house for a full month, mourning for her father and mother; after that you may go in to her and be her husband, and she shall be your wife. 14 But if you are not satisfied with her, you shall let her go free and not sell her for money. You must not treat her as a slave, since you have dishonoured her.
For debate:
(FYI, all responses from 1213 will be ignored by myself)
1) Christians, in this passage, please show us where the woman's consent to be "entered" is either necessary or required?
2) Christians, what captive(s), in their right mind, would ever desire to be "entered" by the captor(s) responsible for exterminating her family?

Post #51You waited weeks to issue this response? Anyone who earnestly reads the given Bible passage -- (which demonstrates the legal rape of identified hotties), and the hypothetical scenario given n post 40, will see right through your response of demonstrated cope.RBD wrote: ↑Thu May 28, 2026 5:57 pmYou're not born of Israel, how did you become an inheritor of the LORD God's promise to Israel? A couple attends a dinner party. Another couple asks the wife at the party, 'how did you two meet?" The wife answers, "well, it's quite a beautiful little love story. My entire family was slaughtered right in front of me, and one of the warriors spotted me, thought I was hot, and spared me. A month later, after all the sobbing and what-not, the warrior 'married and entered' me. I sure hope he remains satisfied with me so he does not release me into this cruel world where no other man will likely want me? And since I am a woman, I likely cannot earn my own keep."
Praise the LORD, His peace and blessing upon thee thou lady of Israel. May thy seed gender His Messiah!

Post #52Only about 10-15 seconds. I was gone for weeks, as now. if i don't have an answer right away, then that makes it a good challenge, and I give credit where credit is due. I would have let you know I would be back with an answer to agree or disagree.POI wrote: ↑Thu May 28, 2026 8:12 pmYou waited weeks to issue this response?RBD wrote: ↑Thu May 28, 2026 5:57 pmYou're not born of Israel, how did you become an inheritor of the LORD God's promise to Israel? That convoluted scenario was rubbish pushed aside with little thought. it took more second to put myself in the newlywed Israelitish shoes among other married Israelite wives. I just gave a sensible scenario according to the law of Israel at the time. Which no doubt has applied multitudes of times in America's own citizenship by marriage law.
I mean, you do know about all the German and Japanese wives of American soldiers returning from destroying their countries in war. right?
You think they socialize later about how they were forced to marry the one, that slaughtered their fellow citizens and family? That's a truly merciless view of merciful treatment to defeated countries, rather than selling all the women into slavery, or just raping and leaving them for dead.

All excuses... I mean, Christian apologetics. Were the debate question(s) ever actually answered?
1) Christians, in this passage, please show us where the woman's consent to be "entered" is either necessary or required?
2) Christians, what captive(s), in their right mind, would ever desire to be "entered" by the captor(s) responsible for exterminating her family?
**************************
Listing other atrocities committed by other later groups is not okay, (in your worldview either). However, in THIS case, the sighted atrocities were ordained by none other than the Bible god himself
Since no one is being honest in answering the question(s), I'll go ahead and save you the pain and trouble...
(Answer key):
1) Their consent to be <entered> is neither necessary nor required. This is now commonly known as rape.
2) Likely none. This is because her feelings are not considered here, only his.
In a nutshell, god is a-okay with his chosen soldiers raping and keeping the hot ones after a war.
Thanks for trying though.

Post #54Proving the merciful rule of the Book's nation first, can then be compared to the more hostile and less merciful rule of other nations.
Especially when proving the Book's rule is more merciful.
In any case, unless you have something new to the argument, then we're done here. Thanks.

Re: The Bible God's Instruction for Handling Post-War Hotties
Post #55This is one of the biggest dodges to date. You know what would be new? Actually answering the debate questions? But since you skipped all around it, my last summation remains standing, uncontested, in that the Bible god endorses rape.
