Does Anyone still take the Noah's Ark Fable literally? Does Anyone still take the Noah's Ark Fable literally?
Asking because how and why would Noah have collected the approximately 140,000 species of flies in the world today?
Or the more than 3000 species of mosquitoes?
Not to mention disease causing viruses, parasites, and bacteria like Mycobacterium leprae or Mycobacterium lepromatosis that cause leprosy?
I mean, did they collect this stuff in petri dishes or did God lead Noah to choose infected animals?

I believe the Bible story is true. It is the most reasonable explanation why dry land looks what it looks like.

Why do you believe there is that many species and why do you think they needed to be in the ark?

Read your Bible.
It doesn't say anything about God commanding insects to be let on the ark.
I guess next, your going to ask why weren't aquatic animals also aboard the ark.

I’m an experienced reef keeper with a strong background in both freshwater and saltwater systems. Small changes in salinity can cause significant stress and even death to marine organisms, despite some people being ignorant about how critical stability is.
There is a reason that risky fresh/saltwater dips (often to kill parasites while hoping the host survives) work and why they are restricted to around 3 - 5 minutes typically.
Fish like wet! Water wet! Fish like!
You can give a man a fish and he will be fed for a day, or you can teach a man to pray for fish and he will starve to death.
I blame man for codifying those rules into a book which allowed superstitious people to perpetuate a barbaric practice. Rules that must be followed or face an invisible beings wrath. - KenRU
It is sad that in an age of freedom some people are enslaved by the nomads of old. - Marco
If you are unable to demonstrate that what you believe is true and you absolve yourself of the burden of proof, then what is the purpose of your arguments? - brunumb

That's likely due to the fact that insects survived in their existing environments, like the rest of humanity seems to have done during the global flood stories timeframe. Those purporting some fantastic claim would have work to do. For anyone that worships a religious book, pointing to claims in said book will be enough. See Christians and Muslims for an example of this.
For those that wonder how insects could have survived, or how we got to 400,000 species of just beetle alone if the flood story is true... just turn your brain off.

Good advice if one is going to discuss the bible. You should have read it as well being my point. What do you think is meant by "every thing that creepeth upon the earth?...
Genesis 7
7 And Noah went in, and his sons, and his wife, and his sons' wives with him, into the ark, because of the waters of the flood.
8 Of clean beasts, and of beasts that are not clean, and of fowls, and of every thing that creepeth upon the earth,
9 There went in two and two unto Noah into the ark, the male and the female, as God had commanded Noah.

Do you think you please your god when you use its supposed sacred text to insult those who back you into a logical corner when you are unlearned of the topic at hand?
Matthew 7:22-23:
22 Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works?
23 And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.
