Why aren't they calling him out?

Trump makes myriad ludicrous claims which are demonstrably false. Media pundits self-righteously crow about the falsehood of his statements, but why is that as far as they go?

When he claims that many professors at his old business college praise his economic plan, the media's response should be, "Name them."

When he suggests that English professors call his "Weave" the most brilliant thing they've ever seen, the media's response should be, "Name them."

His supporters are called stupid for accepting his claims without evidence, but if those calling them that would openly challenge him to present evidence when he can't and let his supporters see that he can't, it would be more effective than just stating that his claims are false.

Why aren't those behind the microphone doing so?

The rise of Trump is proof one thing: Democracy isn't about intellectual ascent, and is in fact quite the opposite: mob rule. Rule by the ignorant.

Interest in "1984" has risen dramatically over the last few years, but I think that's the wrong story. To understand what we're seeing here, we should be looking at Lord of the Flies. There are also parts of Fahrenheit 451 which we should find familiar.

I doubt many news outlets even want to engage in debate with Trump or his supporters about matters the left claim but do not prove are serious infractions of truth in reporting.

Has he named any of them? Have any of them come forward?

A good Christian cannot adore political leaders too much because ultimate worship and allegiance belong to God alone, not to any human authority. While the Bible calls Christians to respect and pray for political leaders, recognizing that God ordains them for His purposes (Romans 13:1), this respect is not meant to become idolatry or blind devotion. Politicians, regardless of their faith or character, are fallible humans who can make mistakes or act contrary to Christian values.

Putting excessive trust or admiration in political leaders risks turning them into idols, distracting from the higher calling to follow Christ’s teachings and kingdom. Jesus himself avoided political power, emphasizing the spiritual kingdom above earthly authorities. When Christians overly elevate political figures, it can cause division and moral compromise, especially if loyalty to a leader conflicts with faith principles.

Instead, Christians are called to engage in politics thoughtfully and prayerfully, always discerning leaders by their fruit and character while keeping their ultimate allegiance to God. They should support just governance without letting political ideologies overshadow their spiritual commitments or replace God’s sovereignty in their hearts. This balance guards against idolatry and keeps faith grounded in Christ above all earthly powers.

Romans 13:1
“Let every soul be subject unto the higher powers. For there is no power but of God: the powers that be are ordained of God.”

Well there ya go then...

The question has never been whether God is speaking. The question has always been whether there is anyone listening - anyone who has stopped hiding long enough to hear.

Probably for the same reason they did during the Biden administration.
