Jesus is God - Mark 5

https://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?s ... ersion=NIV
19 Jesus did not let him, but said, “Go home to your own people and tell them how much the Lord has done for you, and how he has had mercy on you.” 20 So the man went away and began to tell in the Decapolis how much Jesus had done for him. And all the people were amazed.
Jesus restores a demon-possessed man and tells the man to go home and tell people what the Lord has done for him and how the Lord has had mercy on him. The man then went home and said what Jesus had done for him.

Was Jesus referring to himself as Lord, or did Jesus mean for the man to praise God?

Did the man forget to praise the Lord or did he praise the Lord when he praised Jesus?

If the man was incorrect and praised Jesus, rather than the Lord, why didn't Mark mention this?

Isn't this story in the Bible more proof that Jesus is God?

edit:

Would Jesus want to receive praise rather than God?

The your ‘our true Bible Jesus” is actually the real and forever living Christ Jesus whom you need to attain your salvation. The Bible cannot offer anything except to let us know that Jesus is real.

No matter how you believe Jesus by and through the Bible alone will not entitle you to inherit eternal life. You need to convert your biblical belief to practical application.

Lexicons simply provide words that are specific to a particular field. Notice below the explanation of what a Lexicon does, as found at Bible Hub, which is a website run by Trinitarians, I might add.

"Definition and Core Purpose

A lexicon is a specialized reference work that catalogs the words of a particular language, group of languages, or subject domain. Its primary goal is to explain the meanings, nuances, and usage of those words in their original linguistic contexts. In biblical studies, lexicons often center on ancient languages-especially Hebrew, Aramaic, and Greek-to help readers and scholars accurately interpret the inspired texts. Unlike a standard dictionary, which usually provides brief definitions, a lexicon frequently offers detailed lexical entries, complete with grammatical information, semantic ranges, historical usage, and relevant citations."
https://biblehub.com/q/what_defines_a_lexicon.htm

So your answer to my Question #1 is wrong. Likewise, your answer to my Question #2 is wrong. That's what you get for relying on AI.
See my Post#29, I already addressed your 3 and 4 question.

It seems you did not notice that the word "dictionary" is the common denominator of the general "dictionary and lexicon as specialized "dictionary." And you unquote my answer to your second question which mentions, "definition, etymology, and contextual meaning.

The importance of Bible lexicon is that it define Bible words at the time it was used, helps us to understand what the Bible words means to prevent eisegesis.

I query online help because I believe Arians was never taught to consult lexicons, and relied heavily to paraphrase translations of the Bible.
You are back to that again. You are using a Lexicon (which was not inspired of God) as a crutch so that you can avoid being corrected by scripture that was inspired of God. I don't have time to go back and forth with you on this nonsense. You have somehow managed to convince yourself that a Lexicon will help you prove that Jesus is in a Trinity with Jehovah, despite what scripture says.

Keep this in mind: Nothing that humans write on their own is inspired of God. Therefore, such writings can never overcome what is in the Bible.

Romans 3:4
"Certainly not! But let God be found true, even if every man be found a liar, just as it is written: “That you might be proved righteous in your words and might win when you are being judged.”

1. A Lexicon is a collection of words specific to a particular discipline and cannot change definitions found in a common dictionary.

2. There are no scriptures in the Judeo-Christian Bible that supports the Trinitarian claim that Jesus (the son) and Jehovah (the Father) and Jehovah's holy spirit are three persons combined into a single god. Jehovah's holy spirit isn't even a person; it's an extension of Jehovah's power that only Jehovah controls. Jehovah God uses his holy spirit to get things done. Only he controls it. Throughout the Bible we see scriptures telling us he sent forth his spirit to do such and such. But that's for another debate.

In case I haven't posted this before, below is the definition of Christendom's Trinity and the weblink to the source. Take careful note to the two words that I bolded and colorized within that definition. Next, read the scriptures that follow Christendom's definition of THEIR Trinity. Finally, answer the questions at the end of this post.

"There is but one living and true God, everlasting, without body, parts, or passions; of infinite power, wisdom, and goodness; the maker and preserver of all things both visible and indivisible. And in unity of this Godhead there be three persons, of ONE substance, POWER, and ETERNITY; the Father, the Son, and the Holy Ghost."

I would prove Trinity by Bible verses with the assistance of Bible lexicons which define Bible words not just from other sources. Some are against Bible lexicons maybe because they are not allowed to use it. Correct or incorrect?
NeutralZone" wrote: Keep this in mind: Nothing that humans write on their own is inspired of God. Therefore, such writings can never overcome what is in the Bible.
Yes, just like the paraphrase translations, from the product of the human translators own thoughts not from original Bible words, I would agree not fully inspired of God. Like Colossians 1:16 with the word "other." Why added?

Yet why the "blasphemes" against Jesus and the Father can be forgiven, but the "blasphemes" against the Holy Spirit cannot be forgiven. That just proves that the Holy Spirit is separate and distinct person from the Father. Can you explain that?

QUESTION #5 to Capbook: According to Christendom's Trinity, Jesus the son has one power (is CO-EQUAL) and one eternity (is CO-ETERNAL) with Jehovah the Father. TRUE or FALSE?
True, Jesus said, all things the Father has are mine.

John 16:15  “All things that the Father has are Mine; this is why I said that He takes from Mine and will disclose it to you.

NeutralZone wrote: QUESTION #6 to Capbook: According to scripture at John 14:28, Jesus himself said that the Father is greater than he. TRUE or FALSE?
True, Jesus in His human nature the Father is greater but not in essence. They are both the same in the nature of being God. (Col 2:9) As "God" is not the personal name of the Father. Even not the Latinized Tetragrammaton.
NeutralZone wrote: QUESTION #7 to Capbook: According to scripture at John 5:30, Jesus himself said that he cannot do anything on his own and that whatever he does is not his will but his Father's will. TRUE or FALSE?
True, Jesus do the will of the Father, that is called "relational subordination." They have different roles and actions but still the same in essence.
NeutralZone wrote: QUESTION #8 to Capbook: According to scripture at Matthew 27:50 and 1 Corinthians 15:3, Jesus literally died. TRUE or FALSE?
True, His human body died but not His divine nature.
NeutralZone wrote: QUESTION #9 to Capbook: According to scripture at Psalm 90:2 and 1 Timothy 6:15-16, Jehovah God is everlasting and can never die. TRUE or FALSE?
True, God will not die, as to Jesus His human form died not His Divine form. (Phi 2:6-8)

QUESTION #1 to Wootah: The preeminence that applies to King David (his not being literally his parents' firstborn child) does not change the fact that David still had to have been born, and that therefore, David did not exist until he was born. TRUE or FALSE?
True

QUESTION #2 to Wootah: Since preeminence being applied to King David does not change the fact that David was a created being who only came into existence after he was born, by that same rule of preeminence, Jesus Christ was a created being because scripture at Colossians 1:15 says of him: "He who is the image of The Unseen God and is The Firstborn of all creation." (Colossians 1:15 -- Lamsa Bible) https://biblehub.com/lamsa/colossians/1.htm TRUE or FALSE?
There is no 'rule of preeminence'.

Jesus was born second to Adam and given preeminence over Adam.

1 cor 15:45 first man Adam vs last Adam

And since we both agree Jesus was born roughly 2025 years ago ... what was Jesus talking about in matthew 22:43-45?

I believe Jesus is claiming pre-existence. But more importantly for our discussion, he was born second to Adam but is God's firstborn.
Since you're trying to play slick and change the argument of preeminence from King David to Jesus and Adam, guess what? Our conversation is over.

Do you have any answer as to why Mark includes the man praising Jesus after Jesus asked the man to praise the Lord?

True, Jesus said, all things the Father has are mine.[/quote]

You only need to write TRUE or FALSE, Capbook. That part of your answer is correct, because it's true that within Christendom's definition of its Trinity god, Jesus (the Son) and Jehovah (the Father) supposedly have the same power and the same eternity.

You are trying to push Trinity by telling me "Jesus said, all things the Father has are mine." That has nothing to do with a TRUE or FALSE answer to my Question #5.

Capbook:

The only part of your answer that is correct is the portion where you wrote "true." Jesus indeed stated at John 14:28 that the Father is greater. He said nothing whatsoever about it being "not in essence." At Colossians 2:9--which you introduced--where it says Jesus and Jehovah are of the same nature, that's with reference to them both being spirit beings. You then moved the goal post by telling me the Tetragrammaton is not the personal name of the Father. You are wrong. Furthermore, what has any of that to do with your TRUE or FALSE answer to Question #6? Nothing at all.

John 5:30 -- New Living Translation
"I [Jesus] can do nothing on my own. I judge as God tells me. Therefore, my judgment is just, because I carry out the will of the one who sent me, not my own will."

QUESTION #7 to Capbook: According to scripture at John 5:30, Jesus himself said that he cannot do anything on his own and that whatever he does is not his will but his Father's will. TRUE or FALSE?

True, Jesus do the will of the Father, that is called "relational subordination." They have different roles and actions but still the same in essence..
Capbook:

Your attempt at maintaining your Trinitarian argument, while pretending to answer my questions, just flew in your face when you used the Trinitarian argument of "relational subordination." Look at my post where I quoted the definition of Christendom's Trinity. It says the three "persons" of Christendom's Trinity have the same power. If that were the case, any type of subordination debunks that claim. Only an inferior person would subordinate to someone else.

subordination
noun
": placement in a lower class, rank, or position : the act or process of subordinating someone or something or the state of being subordinated"

You shot yourself in the foot with that ridiculous "relational subordination" Trinitarian lingo. You are contradicting scripture by telling me Jesus has "relational subordination" to Jehovah but they are still the same god. You refuse to be corrected by Jesus' own words where he said the Father is greater (John 14:28) and where he said he cannot do anything on his own (John 5:30). When has the Father ever said he cannot do anything on his own? Never! Jesus is the only person that has ever said such a thing with regard to his relationship position with Jehovah the Father.
