The following will prove that Jesus Christ is Jehovah of the Old Testament.
Isaiah 43:3, “For I am the LORD thy God, the Holy One of Israel, your Savior: I gave Egypt for your ransom, Ethiopia and Seba for thee.” After their redemption from Egypt, the Jews would worship other gods. And so, the LORD served them with a bill of divorcement.
Hosea loved Gomer, but, because she was unfaithful, he served her with a bill of divorcement. Now Gomer goes into slavery, so Jehovah tells Hosea to purchase her back for fifteen pieces of silver, a small price for an unfaithful wife.
The people of Israel frequently broke their vows and walked away from their contract with God to serve other gods and pursue their interests. But in every betrayal, the LORD remained faithful and never broke His promise to them.
In ancient Jewish wedding customs, the father would choose the bride for his son. This aligns with Christian teachings that the Father has chosen Israel to be the bride of his beloved Son. As part of this marriage contract, Jehovah agreed to be faithful and promised to set the nation of Israel apart as His bride.
2 Corinthians 11:2, “For I am jealous over you with godly jealousy: for I have espoused (betrothed) you to one husband, that I may present you as a chaste virgin to Christ.”
Through Christ’s atonement, his bride is presented to the Father with the purity of a virgin on her wedding day. In this love story, Jehovah promised that if His people would return to Him, He would be faithful always to forgive them and welcome them back into His loving arms.
So, the Father tells his Son to return to the earth as a man and redeem Israel for his wife. This was the Father’s will for his Son. And so, the Son returned to the earth to fulfill the will of his Father.
Betrayed for 15 pieces of silver, Jesus gave his life for the return of his bride. Although the price was paid, Israel would have to abide for many days without their King, without a prince; without a sacrifice, and an ephod and teraphim, and have no legal priesthood. So, the Jews, the bride-to-be, went into captivity, wandering throughout the earth for the past 1900 years. But their healing would begin on May 14, 1948.
Now, if Jesus is not Jehovah of the Old Testament, whose bride was Israel, yet he is to be the husband of the church, both Jews and Gentiles, then he is marrying his Father’s divorced wife. Therefore, Jesus has to be Jehovah of the Old Testament.
Revelation 19:7-8, “Let us be glad and rejoice, and give honor to him: for the marriage of the Lamb is come, and his wife has made herself ready. And to her was granted that she should be arrayed in fine linen, clean and white: for the fine linen is the righteousness of saints.”

Post #2Hello Jehovah's Witnesses, I'm waiting for a response to this article. If the above is correct, you need to apologize to the world and admit Jesus Christ is Jehovah of the O.T. If I'm incorrect, please tell me where I went wrong in my assessment.placebofactor wrote: ↑Sun May 25, 2025 1:31 pm The following will prove that Jesus Christ is Jehovah of the Old Testament.

Post #3Because no Jehovah's Witness will admit that Jesus (Jehovah) is the one in the Old Testament who gave his wife Israel a bill of divorcement, what they are admitting to is; Jesus is going to marry his Father's divorced wife.placebofactor wrote: ↑Mon May 26, 2025 11:09 amHello Jehovah's Witnesses, I'm waiting for a response to this article. Jehovah (Jesus) said in Jeremiah 3:8, “And I saw, when for all the causes whereby backsliding Israel committed adultery I had put her away, and given her a bill of divorce; yet her treacherous sister Judah feared not, but went and played the harlot also.”
So, Jehovah (Jesus) divorces his Bride. Now the Father sends his Son back to his divorced wife to pay a ransom to purchase her back from slavery. This was the Father's will for his Son. The price he had to pay was His life, a thing Jesus agreed to do. But in order to give his life, he had to come down from heaven in the form of man, spread the good news, then die on the cross, fulfilling every part of the law.
Isaiah 50:1, “Thus said the LORD, where is the bill of your mother’s divorcement (Zion is ancient Jerusalem, the mother, the Jews are the children, and God is the husband of ancient Jerusalem, and Father of the Jewish people), whom I have put away? Or which of my creditors is it to whom I have sold you? They were sold into slavery to the Assyrians, Babylonians, Greeks, Romans, and other nations who had their roots in the Roman Empire.
Luke 1:68, “Blessed be the Lord God of Israel; for HE has visited and redeemed his people.”
Who was it that returned? It was the Son of God, Jesus Christ, sent by the Father to purchase his wife back from bondage. Anyone who claims it was the Father who divorced Israel is admitting to the teaching that Jesus has purchased his Father’s wife back to marry her. This proved beyond a doubt that Jesus is Jehovah of the Old Testament who divorced his wife Israel and returned centuries later to purchase her back for his bride.
