Is ignorance something we come into, or out of? Is knowledge something we come into, or out of?
Knowledge is seen as a particular Thing. An object we either possess or not. Or is it, rather, a region? A complete dispossession? What if ignorance is the actual fixation upon an object, and we are ignorant insofar as we follow in its ambit?
If the soul is by nature full of knowledge, then we simply must remember our original state of knowledge. And this begins without knowledge of anything in particular. The Particular thing is the Impress, that fixity of conception, which prevents new ideas from floating along and deadens our awareness in a single Graviton -- a monad.
