Paradise on Earth

Post by onewithhim »

When I learned that the Bible speaks of a restored Garden of Eden and the restoration of mankind to the perfection and endless life that Adam forfeited, I was thrilled. Who doesn't want to keep living on this beautiful earth, with our loved ones, and being able to do all the things we love to do---endlessly?

If God said to you today, "When do you want to die?" would you say "now!!"? I don't think very many people would say that.

We CAN live forever here on Earth. The Bible tells us that we can.

Matthew 5:5
Psalm 37:9-11,29

Actually it is written in the bible in more than one place that
God is going to destroy heaven and earth with fire. Is it not in your bible
or did someone remove it?
That is not a literal Scripture that says that there are a new heavens and new Earth. It is highly symbolic. How could the literal heavens be destroyed? WHY would they be destroyed? It's absurd. By the same token, the earth will not literally be destroyed (Ecclesiastes 1:4), but the wicked works in it will be revealed and ceased. There will be new "heavens" in that all governments of men, sometimes referred to as "heavens," will be done away with. The "earth" means the societies of men that are alienated from God, and they will be destroyed. Peter says clearly that it is the ungodly men who will be destroyed.

"The world at that time [the time of Noah] suffered destruction when it was deluged with water. [Was the earth itself destroyed?] But by the same word the heavens and the earth that are now are stored up for fire and are being reserved to the day of judgment and of the destruction of the ungodly men." (2Peter 3:5-7) Brackets mine.

The scripture says that the earth was "destroyed" when the Flood came. Was it literally destroyed? Not so either will it literally be destroyed in the future. It is only the "ungodly men."

I am not Adam or Eve.

Yes, the ungodly.
But was Sodom and Gomorrah part of the earth or land, was it destroyed or turned to ashes? Yes or no?

Dear Onewithhim,

Without the "fall" There would be no need for. the forordained pan of God for a redeemer, ne atonement, no resurrection. The plan of God would have been frustrated.

The "fall" denied no one the opportunity to repent and over come the world and be resurrected and obtain salvation and exaltation.

This also included Adam, for no where in scripture has God denied the opportunity to repent. No where in scripture has God condemned Adam to hell for ever.

The last time I checked the scriptures testify that Christ is the redeemer of ALL mankind.

Maybe it is time for you to wake up and show a christlike mercy as christ has shown for all of us! Besides who authorized you to be judge and jury to damn Father Adam to hell forever?

It should be interesting on judgement day to find God judging you as you have judged others....

You believe that God planned on Adam falling? That's not true. God foreordained people to rule with Christ in heaven only AFTER Adam fell. Jehovah certainly did not plan on Adam falling. He gave Adam a real choice. Obey or die. Adam could have lived on and on if he had obeyed. Jehovah didn't make him disobey. If Adam had obeyed there would be no need for a redeemer and there would be no need for resurrections. So it was only after Adam disobeyed that God set in motion a plan for Jesus to die in mankind's behalf.

Did God know before He commanded Adam not to eat from the tree of knowledge of good and evil,
that Adam would disobey Him?

A. Yes
B. No

No. He chose not to know. That is another thing God can do---choose not to know. Just because you can whistle, do you do it all the time? God can know all things, but He chooses not to know some things.

Like you would know?

Prove it.

No. He chose not to know.
This is one of the most absurd statements I have ever read on this forum.

How on earth and in heaven can God chose to not know what
He can't know?

You are an -------------.
