Paradise on Earth

Post by onewithhim »

When I learned that the Bible speaks of a restored Garden of Eden and the restoration of mankind to the perfection and endless life that Adam forfeited, I was thrilled. Who doesn't want to keep living on this beautiful earth, with our loved ones, and being able to do all the things we love to do---endlessly?

If God said to you today, "When do you want to die?" would you say "now!!"? I don't think very many people would say that.

We CAN live forever here on Earth. The Bible tells us that we can.

Matthew 5:5
Psalm 37:9-11,29

Does that mean that sometimes the earth sings? What do you mean "not all the time" that implies that you are admitting that the earth does sing "some of the time", but HOW can a planet sing without a mouth ? The planet doesn't have vocal cords. Please explain.

GENESIS 11:9 King James Version

Therefore is the name of it called Babel; because the LORD did there confound the language of all the earth:
PSALMS 97:1 Douay-Rheims Bible

For the same David, when his land was restored again to him. The Lord hath reigned, let the earth rejoice: let many islands be glad.
PSALM 66:4 King James Bible
All the earth shall worship thee, and shall sing unto thee; they shall sing to thy name. Selah.
PSALM 76v8

The earth was afraid and was silent ...
Lexicon also defined "earth" as land, field, ground, etc. Why you are just focused to other definition?
Do land, ground, field, etc sings?

Use whatever definition you like but explain the scriptures. It says say the earth sings? Explain how that can be, does the earth have a mouth and vocal cords. We are all still waiting for you to explain the verses. Is it so complicated what I am asking EXPLAIN THE SCRIPTURES ABOVE tell us what they MEAN Why do you not just explain how they can be true?

The earth is afraid
The earth has language
The earth sings

How can these verses be true when the earth has no mouth? EXPLAIN
It will be explained by lexicon by using the definition "country, nation, world.
That is why I said not all earth sings. (Mat 5:5)
Can you support your stand that earth sings in the New Testament?

OT:776
'erets (eh'-rets); from an unused root probably meaning to be firm; the earth (at large, or partitively a land):

KJV - common, country, earth, field, ground, land, natins, way, wilderness, world.

What do you mean? I don't see how what you posted explains how something without a mouth can SING. The word in the scriptures was EARTH, (not country, nation or world) EARTH, that's the word in the scripture (OT:776 'erets (eh'-rets) which means EARTH or LAND, but how can the earth SING? Does the LAND have a MOUTH, does EARTH have VOCAL CORDS to speak? How can those verses be true?

Please explain how you understand what you found in the definitions because so far you have not written an explanation when the world in the bible is EARTH and the scriptures say it can sing... HOW???

GENESIS 11:9 King James Version

Therefore is the name of it called Babel; because the LORD did there confound the language of all the earth:
PSALMS 97:1 Douay-Rheims Bible

For the same David, when his land was restored again to him. The Lord hath reigned, let the earth rejoice: let many islands be glad.
PSALM 66:4 King James Bible
All the earth shall worship thee, and shall sing unto thee; they shall sing to thy name. Selah.
PSALM 76v8

The earth was afraid and was silent ...

What do these verses mean if the EARTH erets has no vocal cords?

JW
PS What could be said about the teachers that teach their students to read but neglected to teach them to reason on the meaning of the words they read and how those words relate to the world the student will live in. This handicap will impede them for their whole lives. Perhaps this is a legacy from when the working classes were not taught poetry or literature because they just needed to learn enough to understand the instructions given them in the factory but now we have the internet, a universe of knowledge which is still blocked to those that have access to the words but not to the knowledge they contain. A pox on those that abuse the gift of teaching to enslaves the innocent.

One lexicon definition of "earth" is world.
And lexicon defined "world", as seen below but nowhere your definition as "human society" is there.
To answer your question who has the mouth to sing? See the number 5 definition? Still not human society.
I just wonder, where you find that definition. Any lexicon to support it?

NT:2889 kosmos, kosmou, ho;
1. apt and harmonious arrangement or constitution, order
2. ornament, decoration, adornment: 1 Peter 3:3.
3. the world, i. e. the universe Acts 17:24; Rom 4:13.
4. the circle of the earth, the earth Mark 16:15.
5. the inhabitants of the world: 1 Cor 4:9.
6. the ungodly multitude; the whole mass of men alienated from God, and therefore hostile to the cause of Christ John 7:7
7. worldly affairs; the aggregate of things earthly; the whole circle of earthly goods, endowments, riches, advantages, pleasures, etc., which, although hollow and frail and fleeting, stir desire, seduce from God and are obstacles to the cause of Christ: Gal 6:14
8. any aggregate or general collection of particulars of any sort James 3:6

Are you saying that when we see the word EARTH (erets) in the bible , it can sometimes not be talking about the literal planet but be referring to people ? Is that what you are suggesting?

Yes, that's what #5 definition, "inhabitants of the world" but not "human society" as you defined earth in Revelation. A human society is a group of people who share a common lifestyle and organization, while inhabitants of the world could refer to all the people and etc.
