The crisis in Christianity is ; Christians don't believe the Kingdom of God is meant to be of this world.
The Kingdom of God is meant to be of this world.
Agree or disagree.

I think your first sentence is a safe bet. The second too, but at that point why would it be called God's kingdom?

To be clear: Atheism is not a disbelief in gods or a denial of gods; it is a lack of belief in gods.

I must assume that knowing is better than not knowing, venturing than not venturing; and that magic and illusion, however rich, however alluring, ultimately weaken the human spirit.

Exactly, a kingdom build by human hands would not logically be called "GOD'S". Biblically God's kingdom is not built from the bottom up "grass roots" style, it comes from heaven.
DANIEL 2:44

“In the days of those kings the God of heaven will set up a kingdom that will never be destroyed. And this kingdom will not be passed on to any other people. It will crush and put an end to all these kingdoms, and it alone will stand forever.
I wouldn't say however it comes "floating" down....

Still it would be no problem for christians to claim that a human styled kingdom was inspired by their god and therefore is the promised.

That might be one reason why the medieval emperors tried to rule the earth.

As for bible verses; Believers are known to rape them beyond recognition to make them mean whatever they want.

Still, in this case with the Daniel verse not much raping is needed, I think.

The kingdom of God is the rule and reign of God in this world. That does not mean that heaven (or hell) is not real. https://www.explainchristianity.com/is- ... periences/

It does not. But it is a bit of a cognitive problem isn't it, that we have two scenarios - one where the dead are going to emerge from their graves to be judged fit to live on earth under God's rule, and the one where they died and went to heaven or hell. Which is it? You tell me.

I agree. Heaven is the dwelling place of God, Jesus and the holy angels. Earth is the where humans live and the KINGDOM is God's heavenly government that will reign over the earth to bring peace to mankind.

The entire universe is The Kingdom of God.

The reason the Earth seems set apart from everything else is because it is temporarily being used as a prison-planet reform school for the criminally insane.

From The Lord's Prayer:

Matthew 6:9-10
6:9 After this manner therefore pray ye: Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be Thy name.
6:10 Thy Kingdom come. Thy Will be done in earth, as [it is] in heaven.

God's Will is presently done everywhere else but in/on Earth. That's why the entire planet is filled with sinners (criminals), i.e. those who refuse to keep God's Law and DO His Will.

This planet could be looked at as a controlled experiment for the third of the angels of heaven who were crazy enough to believe the lies Lucifer (Satan/Iblis/the devil) told to organize his coup attempt (Isa. 14:12-17; Rev. 12:3-4, 7-9). The Earth, presently under the rule of Lucifer/Satan/Iblis/the devil (whom Christ referred to as the temporary "prince of this world") for the past 6000 years, is being systematically destroyed through the rape and poisoning of its natural resources for monetary gain.

It should be self-evident that our present course of runaway consumerism/materialism is completely unsustainable. We are being marched directly toward the third and final world war, en route to the total destruction of all life on Earth. At this point, only Divine Intervention will stop this insanity.

Matthew 24:21-22
24:21 For then shall be great oppression, such as was not since the beginning of the world to this time, no, nor ever shall be.
24:22 And EXCEPT THOSE DAYS SHOULD BE SHORTENED, THERE SHOULD NO FLESH BE SAVED: but for the Elect's sake those days shall be shortened.

Once we have all seen how selfish behaviour ultimately destroys everything, we will face Judgement for everything we've done over the past 6000 years. The only ones who will survive are the "Elect", which are the 144,000 that actually see their own insanity, and want to work on it, so they too may learn to do Father's Will here on Earth, as it is done in heaven.

That is when The Kingdom of God will again fill the entire Earth, which has temporarily been serving as a prison planet reform school for the criminally insane for the past 6000 years (aka "Winter" -- the season of death -- under Satan's rule). Those who survive will see the Sabbath millennium, aka "Summer": the 1000 year reign of Christ here on Earth, where God's Will shall be done here on/in Earth. A welcome respite from the endless wars and insanity which have plagued this planet for the past 6000 years.
