That depends upon how one interprets the scriptures anyway. But I find the scriptures themselves lack the substance of the living - the scriptures are not living things.The important thing for both of you to understand is that those beliefs are not supported in the scriptures.
Indeed, given enough time, the scriptures would naturally rot away and become dust, and the advent of the printing press does not change that fact - one can pump as many volumes of inked words written on slices of tree-flesh, bound in the skin of dead beasts, into the world, and all of them will eventually end up as landfill.
Whereas The Word of the MBC is alive and active and everlasting.
So one is wise to take care in not replacing the one with the other, and to trust nothing which has gone through the hands of man, without first putting it through numerous testing.
That is the way of The Spirit.
RQ: And if I choose to see myself as Spirit, what is that to you, that you make and effort to tell me it ain't so, because your own interpretation of scripture "tells" you so.
