Luke 21:36, "[Jesus stated] Pray always, that ye may be accounted worthy to escape all these things that shall come to pass."

The things coming to pass are identified in the previous verse 35 to be upon those "that dwell upon the face of the whole Earth." This clearly states the events are far more than what occurred in the time of the 70 AD Destruction of Jerusalem by the Romans. Trying to modify "whole Earth" to mean Israel is an error upon God's literal Word.

Matthew 24:37 has the parallel account calling the event "The coming of the Son of Man." Verse 50 has Jesus saying nobody has a warning of the "Day and hour" of this coming, and individuals will be selectively from their houses, fields, and workplaces. The AD 70 Roman destruction of Jerusalem and slaughter was far from sudden. The siege lasted for many months as a long event, not at all "sudden."

Jesus would not be instructing us to pray to escape if we were not going to escape. He will rescue His People from the terrors of wrath upon the The Earth in The Day of The Lord. If you have any Calvinists friends or leaders in your church, be sure to share the good news of Christ's Rapture.
