there Is No God?

Hi everyone i am ashley, i am a senior in high school age 17 O:)
i just wanted to discuss the matter of religon
my mom has always gone to church and what-not
and tried getting me to go.
I agreed but did not like it...
i felt in my mind
how can you bealive some invisable man up in the sky, he gives you 10 things not to do, and if you do them you go to a fiery world? :confused2:
does that should like love to you?
personally me it did not
and then to think, i get a person on my game messaging me daily saying "God loves you' EVERY DAY! i usually curse at him and not speak to him for a bit. But we had a heated debate on religion and i said"Tell me how you bealive something that has no proven facts NON" and he replys "because i have faith" , In retaliation i said "what if you are wrong?, what if there is nothing and you wasted your whole life"? and he replyed "i would have done it out of love"
Mind you, he is about 13  , but how are you going to waste your entiere life on something that may not exist :-k . Then i relized, i am Atheists because i have had so many discustions on this that it is entierlly to confusing so Atheists is the way to go in my opinion. :D
But if anyone has anything to say otherwise i gues...enlighten me :-s
but also my mind may not be changed easly :P
my mind is not easly corrupted

Christianity was created by humans (in my opinion).

I'd like to ignore your spelling and use of smilies and concentrate on commending you on your ability to look beyond Christianity as an explanation for life, the universe and everything.

I hope you find what you are looking for, although I'm not sure how many of us actually ever do.

Then no big deal, he's just trying to save people and I guess that's not a waste of life to him. But what if he is right? He and everyone he reached out to successfully would be saved. I'm just saying there's more to lose if you don't believe.

Only if you don't believe in the WRONG God. Are you sure you are not putting a false God (Jesus) before the One God?
“What do you think science is? There is nothing magical about science. It is simply a systematic way for carefully and thoroughly observing nature and using consistent logic to evaluate results. So which part of that exactly do you disagree with? Do you disagree with being thorough? Using careful observation? Being systematic? Or using consistent logic?

All I know is that Jesus preached the laying down of our selves to save others and he was the ultimate example of dying for others. I don't think there's a greater love than this. If God chooses to manifest Himself in the flesh, it would be through Jesus. and he would come to set an example of love and to undo what man messed up.

Jesus, to me, is God who expressed Himself in human ways so He is the One God to me. It's not like God was another human before Jesus.

Except of course, Julius Ceasar, Augustus Caesar, the pharaohs, etc etc etc.

Remember, Augustus Caesar was son of God, Savior, he who brought Salvation to the Roman Empire.

but they weren't sinless and savior of the world. I believe I am saved because Jesus died for me. Those guys didn't love me, how can they save me.

How is it that Jesus' sacrifice saves you? God condemns you because you sin. But God also loves you and wants to forgive you. Now, this should be rather simple, He should just forgive you. If I wanted to forgive you for something you did against me, I would do just that. But for some reason, Christian apologists have concluded that God's justice has been appeased by Jesus sacrificing himself on your behalf. Jesus loves you and billions of others just like you.
Examine everything carefully; hold fast to that which is good.

because if you want to forgive someone, you would have to lay down yourself, which is what God did through Jesus, being an example of “no greater love”.

I know Jesus loves me, that's why He laid Himself down for me.
