Prophesied: Nuclear War will Happen

Post by anthrogohn »

This global cataclysmic event has been foretold a long time ago in the Bible and evidences of this prophecy can now be understood right now. The signs are there, the doomsday clock is ticking nearer to strike into its fulfillment.

There is nothing in those passages other than, 'there will be doom and gloom.' These stories are as old as man, and older than the Bible. War can be predicted for man for as long as he exists. Yet one more in an exhaustingly long list of folks 'interpreting' the Bible.

You'd think if God really loved us he would just come out and tell us what the heck he wants. Nope, he's gotta 'give' us a book so that we may hang ourselves with it.

That is really overreaching. If you have a 2000 page book, a very large section of which talks about the destruction of the world, you could make it seem like any possible scenario that could bring about the end of human life was foretold by the Bible.

Let's take some of the quotes he used, and apply it to another situation, say, a pathogen that has no cure, spreads rapidly, and is very deadly.
“An Oracle concerning Damascus: "See, Damascus will no longer be a city but will become a heap of ruins."
If the entire population is wiped off the map by said pathogen, the city will quickly crumble due to neglect and decay.
“When you see "the abomination that causes desolation" standing where it does not belong-let the reader understand-then let those who are in Judea flee to the mountains."
The most logical place to go to get away from this disease would be some place secluded like maybe the mountains. And in all honesty, any event that could destroy much of the human population would cause desolation.
“Then the kings of the earth, the princes, the generals, the rich, the mighty, and every slave and every free man hid in caves and among the rocks of the mountains.
Same thing here. The mountains would be a good place to get away from said pathogen.
“The name of the star is Wormwood. A third of the waters turned bitter, and many people died from the waters that had become bitter.
The water is infected by this pathogen, causing much of it to be contaminated and many to die from drinking it.
“The first angel went and poured out his bowl on the land, and ugly and painful sores broke out on the people who had the mark of the beast and worshiped his image."
Sores could be a symptom of the disease.

My point here is that you could make a case for almost any scenario imaginable, using Revelations to back you up, if you look hard enough, and are wiling to ignore passages that contradict it. It is know as apophenia.[/i]

Nah, if you want to go for creepy doomsday predictions, listen to the Muslims. Islamic tradition says that the Anti-Christ will arise in Isfahan, Iran. Now guess where Iran's largest nuclear complex is... combined with a presidency of John "Bomb bomb Iran" McCain, we better repent our sins or head for Mars, or else...

Well, who cares for atomic bombs anyway, you'll die in an eyeblink, never realizing what killed you.

This is all from a book that doesn't even notice Aluminium, the worlds most abundant metal in the earth around us ?

Eschatology should be made illegal like drugs as it only provides some with an incentive for self-prophesy.

Alright, first off, before we really get rolling, there has already been a 'nuclear war.' In case people forget, The United States, the one nation that seems to think its qualified to judge the nuclear 'rights' of others has deployed two such bombs in combat. It wasn't a full fledged MAD scenario, but it was definitely a war in which nuclear weapons were used, or a 'Nuclear War.'

Secondly, though, people who suggest that nuclear bombs will kill you in an instant are pretty far off the mark. The 'instant death' radius in such an explosion, not counting modern super-bombs like the Russian Czar, are usually only a few miles in diameter, if that. A larger number of people are killed by, in ascending order, sever-but-not-immediately-fatal-injuries, glass from the shock-wave, nuclear fall-out, and the big one, which researches suggest would account for more than 80% of the fatalities in a nuclear war, the collapse of infrastructure. Starving to death, dying of thirst, untreated infection or exposure are far from instant and would account for the large majority of fatalities.

Every since I was a child I have had bad dreams of bombs. I don't like putting anything of such death and destruction into my mind. I think it is definatly a tool of Satan and War is his tool as well.People I know being from the USA that if it wernt for war we wold not be the free country we are now but as I pointed out in another forum there is a big distention here on earth between GOOD/ EVIL so it just makes alot of since to say that we are most likely going to cause our own distruction and blow our self up! We dont know how to communicate across nations and even in our own homes. God have mercy on us! For we know not what we do!!!!

The book of Revelation foretells many worldwilde catastrophes that will occur shortly before Christ returns. It is possible that some of them will be caused by nuclear weapons but there is no way to know for sure until they happen.

Here are other verses from the Bible to ponder. There are many speculations on how our world will end. This climactic event was foretold that it will be days of darkness and gloominess. Stars will not give its light, sun will be darkened.

There are signs why the writer thinks that a nuclear war or similar event is prophesied in the Bible. And one indication that it will cause darkness. It is there, in the pages of the Bible, plain and simple.

Can a pathogen cause darkness? Unless you interpret it as a "darkness of human grief because we suffer pandemic never before seen in the history of humanity."

What I am pointing here is that the Bible gives us warning so that we could be prepared spiritually, emotionally, physically that we may endure the coming hardship if it occur in our lifetime.

If it is not and it occur after our lifetime, then we could be benefited from our effort. Spiritually guided, emotionally strong and rewarded physically. Yes there are verses in the Bible that you cannot regard the way it is being written. If your hand sinned, can you cut it off? But if the Bible tells us to do this and do that and all of us has its own interpretation, how many interpretation will it generate? No wonder we have many religions and sects. :-k
