After Jesus: The First christians

I did see a good deal of it, and found it quite interesting. For example, the contention the beliefs within the early church were quite diverse and that orthodoxy didn't really become an issue until the council of Nicea.
To switch hats for a moment, I should point out as a moderator that debate topics should have a 'question or questions for debate.' This seems to be more of a discussion topic. If you want to leave this in the debate forum, please provide a question for debate. Otherwise, if there are no objections I will check back within a day to move it to a discussion area, leaving a pointer from this forum to the thread.
I also appreciated the discussion on the development of ideas regarding Christ and the Bible. In another thread, one member commented that 'today's Protestants believe like the first Christians did' while Catholics do not. Certainly much of what was presented on this program would belie such a statement.
