Post #3I didn't say that I think he lied about anything. I'm calling attention to a question being asked.placebofactor wrote: ↑Fri Apr 11, 2025 1:25 pmGive us a list of what you think he lied about.Athetotheist wrote: ↑Wed Apr 09, 2025 7:42 pm Here is raised a question which every DOGE supporter should think seriously about:

Re: What other explanation is there?
Post #4Here's a better question: Why would he lie about anything? He may make mistakes, of course, everyone does, but why lie? He is smart, rich, has power, and if he wanted could buy the Presidency if he decided to run. Money talks, and bull---- walks. I don't know him personally, but I don't believe like 99% of the Democrats that he's a liar, or a deceiver, he has nothing to gain. Common sense!!!!!Athetotheist wrote: ↑Fri Apr 11, 2025 2:11 pmI didn't say that I think he lied about anything. Then let's assume that he isn't lying and go back to the question. Why haven't there been any arrests or charges for all the fraud that DOGE says it's found? Here's a better question: Why would he lie about anything? Post #6It's been less than 100 days; getting information together for prosecution takes time. If there is fraud in the Biden administration, Republican or Democratic, it will be found, gathered together, and then given into the hands of the authorities.Athetotheist wrote: ↑Sun Apr 20, 2025 3:34 pm [Replying to placebofactor in post #4]

Money slashed from federal agencies could be used to pay for tax cuts for big businesses.

Trump has promised tax cuts for big businesses.
Musk owns big businesses.
So they can grab immigrants off the street and detain them at the drop of a hat, but they have to slog through red tape with a paper trail of fraud? It's been less than 100 days; getting information together for prosecution takes time.
Still assuming that he isn't lying, are you sure he would have nothing to gain?he has nothing to gain.

Post #8Somebody has to; What's the difference to us who is successful or is not, no loss or gain to me. Musk, John Kerry, or any other corporate executive who cares? if not them, it would be some other stranger. Also, I am sure there are many small and large shareholders in these corporations. Working-class people who have invested in his companies. Some are happy, others are not, but investing your money in companies is always a risk.Athetotheist wrote: ↑Sun Apr 20, 2025 11:10 pm [Replying to placebofactor in post #6]

You tell me what he has to gain by lying? I can't think of anything worthwhile. At least nothing that his kind of money can buy if he chooses to buy it. Here's all I know about Musk. He has never done anything to me, so I have no reason to dislike him. He is rich, he is famous, he has a family, he is successful in his business ventures, he looks healthy, he appears to be a generous person, he donates his time and his guru friends to see if he can save money for you, me, and the rest of us. What I do know is, if people despise the man, it's because their jealous of his success, or because he and Trump are friends. In both cases, TOUGH!

Look, I'm not into all that. I understand finances from a working man's point of view, not from the view or height of trillions of dollars.
Trump has promised tax cuts for big businesses.
Of course, that causes businesses to come back to America, and for those here in America to expand with those savings.
Musk owns big businesses.

That's why there's supposed to be a safety net. Someone who makes $40,000 a year is a lot more likely to need Medicaid than is someone who makes $40,000,000 a year. What's the difference to us who is successful or is not, no loss or gain to me. Post #10Donald Trump or Must will not take medical insurance away from anyone. Give them a chance to reorganize a broken system. Trust me, in 6 months, if I'm wrong, I'll apologize to you.Athetotheist wrote: ↑Mon Apr 21, 2025 2:56 pm [Replying to placebofactor in post #8]
