Five Lings to a golden chain

Five Links of Gold:
God’s foreknowledge: his predestinate: called, Justified, and Glorified us.

Romans 8:28-30, “And we know, that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are called according to his purpose. For whom he did foreknow, he also did predestinate to be conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brethren. Moreover who he did predestinate, them he also called: and whom he called, them he also justified: and whom he justified, them he also glorified.”

Before the world was omniscient God saw everything from beginning to end. Man looks at things through a knothole, seeing only in part, but Jehovah sees all things from the beginning to the end, this is his advantage. We have received many gifts, one being free will. Every man born of a woman is free to receive the gospel of Jesus Christ or to reject it. Only for them who love God, and are under the influence of the Holy Spirit do all things work for good.

The LORD does not pick and choose who will be saved, that is left for every individual to decide for themself. Receive the gospel of Jesus Christ and live, reject, and be cast into the lake of fire. The Lord forces no man to love him because forced love is not love, it’s a contradiction.

Lucifer said, “I will ascend into heaven, I will exalt my throne above the stars of God: I will sit upon the mount of the congregation, --- I will ascend above the heights of the clouds; I will be like the most High.” Five times Lucifer said to his Creator, “I will.” We must all ask ourselves, how often have you said in your heart, “My will, not yours.”

1. “For whom he did foreknow.” The foreknowledge of God is never spoken of about himself; it concerns us. He has the power to know all things because he is omniscient.

1 Peter 1:2, “Elect according to the foreknowledge of God the Father, through sanctification of the (Holy) Spirit,”
1 Peter 1:19-20, Jesus Christ, “Who verily was foreordained before the foundation of the world." He was sacrificed for our sins before the foundation of the world.

2. God has predestinated those who love him: Predestination is a part of the Father’s unchangeable plan and purpose for his Divine government. Those who love him have already been predestinated to be conformed to the image of his Son.”

3. The LORD has called us: written in the future tense. Our calling is connected with God’s foreknowledge.

1 Peter 5:10, “But the God of all grace, who has called us unto his eternal glory by Jesus Christ,”
John 6:37, Jesus said, “All that the Father gives me shall come to me; and him that comes to me I will in no way cast out.”

4. The Father has justified; spoken of a thing already done. For all who love the Lord, and have repented, sin has been pardoned. The guilt of sin is removed in justification.

Romans 3:24, “Being justified freely by his (the Father’s) grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus.”

5. God glorified us: Again, spoken of a thing done: proving that all things work together for our good, intended for eternal glory.
Verse 31, “If God be for us, who can be against us?”
Your thoughts.
