Isaiah says--his name will be called those things. That is different than him personally being called those things.
Jesus would have lied at John 17:3 if you were correct-think about that.

So your way of harmonizing Isaiah 9:6 with John 17:3 is by claiming that the names he is called by are different from him personally being called those things? That makes no sense. The many names of the Christ, just like the many names of God, teach us more about who he is. Jesus (JEHOVAH OUR SAVIOR), Emmanuel (GOD with us), Jesus' name shall be called "JEHOVAH OUR RIGHTEOUSNESS", Jesus (the son) is also "The everlasting Father". This was designed to make no sense logically, which seems to be how you're trying to understand these differences.

John 17:3 is teaching us that there is only one true God, but you are separating Jesus Christ from that equation, when all of his names teach us that very truth, that they are three deities yet are called by the same names. So, then why did Jesus say that the Father was greater than him. Because Jesus, who is the image of the invisible God, came in the form of a servant. Therefore, he always spoke in accordance with his role.

The way Jesus spoke also served to keep blind people in darkness of who he truly was. This is why he always spoke in parables.

Anytime someone goes the extra mile to emphasize the difference between Jesus and JEHOVAH, I often wonder why they neglect to be faithful to the Bible as a whole and address the similarities between Jesus and JEHOVAH as well.

The above passage is about JESUS and his name is JEHOVAH OUR RIGHTEOUSNESS.
This same Jesus is the Son of God, yet he is also the Father.

Isaiah 9:6 (KJV 1900)
For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given:
And the government shall be upon his shoulder:
And his name shall be called Wonderful, Counseller, The mighty God,
The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.

But none of this makes any sense to us if we attempt to rationalize these passages with out own logic. That's because we are finite creatures and God is an infinite creator. Therefore, the only thing we can understand about an infinite being like God is that which he has chosen to reveal from his word, whether it makes sense to us or not. And when we faithfully put it all together, we have no option but to conclude that while God is one God, he reveals himself in a deity of 3. The Father, the Son and the Holy Ghost, just like the scriptures declare.

1 John 5:7–8 (KJV 1900)
For there are three that bear record in heaven, the Father, the Word (Christ), and the Holy Ghost: and these three are one. 8 And there are three that bear witness in earth, the spirit, and the water, and the blood: and these three agree in one.

So, in light of you OP question, listening to Jesus (The Word of God) means listening to everything he says in His Word and not excluding anything from your equations of who God is. Therefore I present to you your own closing question, "Do you listen to Jesus? Do you believe Jesus over misleading errors?"

I do listen to Jesus--The Father is greater than i.

Isaiah says--his name will be called those things. That is different than him personally being called those things.
Jesus would have lied at John 17:3 if you were correct-think about that.
Trinity translations are filled with errors to mislead.

So your way of harmonizing Isaiah 9:6 with John 17:3 is by claiming that the names he is called by are different from him personally being called those things? That makes no sense. The many names of the Christ, just like the many names of God, teach us more about who he is. Jesus (JEHOVAH OUR SAVIOR), Emmanuel (GOD with us), Jesus' name shall be called "JEHOVAH OUR RIGHTEOUSNESS", Jesus (the son) is also "The everlasting Father". This was designed to make no sense logically, which seems to be how you're trying to understand these differences.

John 17:3 is teaching us that there is only one true God, but you are separating Jesus Christ from that equation, when all of his names teach us that very truth, that they are three deities yet are called by the same names. So, then why did Jesus say that the Father was greater than him. Because Jesus, who is the image of the invisible God, came in the form of a servant. Therefore, he always spoke in accordance with his role.

Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus: 6 Who, being in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with God: 7 But made himself of no reputation, and took upon him the form of a servant, and was made in the likeness of men: 8 And being found in fashion as a man, he humbled himself, and became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross.

The way Jesus spoke also served to keep blind people in darkness of who he truly was. This is why he always spoke in parables.

34 All these things spake Jesus unto the multitude in parables; and without a parable spake he not unto them:

34 But without a parable spake he not unto them: and when they were alone, he expounded all things to his disciples.

So, taking Christ's words at face value are like taking a parable at face value. Every time you do it, you will arrive at an incorrect conclusion.

Again, Christ is HIMSELF the Truth (as He said in the verse you quoted). He also speaks truth. But He is Himself the Truth WHO sets us free (John 8:32, compare with John 8:36).

the life= The bible teaches-by obeying is proof of ones love for God and his son. Not pick and choose, but EVERY utterance from God Jesus said man must live by. That takes years and years of bible study-OT-NT it never stops.

Again, Christ is HIMSELF the Life (even the Tree of Life from the Garden of Eden). We must eat from HIM in order to have life in US, in order to live forever. From John 6:

“Very truly I tell you, it is not Moses who has given you the bread from heaven, but it is my Father who gives you the true bread from heaven. 33 For the bread of God is the bread that comes down from heaven and gives life to the world.”

“I am the bread of life. It does mean eteranl life to know the Father. Not just know OF God. Not just learn about God (simply by reading the scriptures). But to know the Father (and so to be in Him and Him in us). How does one know the Father?

"Jesus" is not a name that was ever used back when Christ was born (as a man). His name could never have been "Jesus".

His name is Jah'eshua. Please note that His name has the name of His Father (JAH) in it , and His name means "JAH saves/savior of JAH". Most prophets had either the name of God (JAH) in their names or the title "El" (meaning God), or both. How much more so would the Son who came in the name of His Father, have His Father's name in His own name?

Elijah is an example of a prophet who has both in his name:
