The city councils of Minneapolis and LA are considering measures to defund the police. When asked, Joe Biden said he thought it might be a good idea in some cases. Edit to add, now Mr. Biden says he's not in favor of defunding the police. But other Democrats are, and still advocate that. As does BLM.

How likely is it that the Democrats will run on the issue of defunding (abolishing?) the police?
Is this a winning issue for them? Does the average person want the police defunded, or even abolished? Or is a law and order platform helpful to President Trump to win re-election?
