That is correct. There is no third person of the reality which is God. The Spirit being spoken of comes from the Father, as His power to accomplish His will. "For the ones speaking are not just you, but it is the spirit of your Father that speaks by you." (Matthew 10:20) It can't be Jesus because he is a separate entity, alongside the Father. There are two Persons mentioned as having individual properties in the Scriptures, one being the Father and the other being Jesus Christ. The Spirit is not a Person but the power of the Father like the current in electric wires.

There is ONE God, not three or even two. "Hear O Israel: Jehovah our God is one Jehovah." (Deuteronomy 6:4, American Standard Version) Jesus is His Son (John 10:36). God's Son cannot be God also.

My son and I are "in the same state" of being in the flesh, just as God and Jesus are "in the same state" of being spirit. That is the only way they are the same. My son will never be me, nor will I ever be my son. He will never have my place in the order of things. I will always be his mother, with the last word on things pertaining to my life.

BTW, the word divine does not mean God. It means, according to an English dictionary, "Of, from, or like God or a god," not God. Moffatt's translation says this: "and the Word was divine." That translator has the meaning of "a god" correctly translated to "divine"....from God or like God.
