The Folly of Trump's Deulsions

Post by Divine Insight »

Trump is apparently gaining voters by going around promising people in places like Pennsylvania and Ohio that he's going to reopen all the factories, coal mines, steel mills, and have the railroads running again.

Is this realistic? :-k

He claims that he wants to wall-off American from other countries. He's going to "renegotiate" trade deals with the rest of the world so that America comes FIRST. How many other nations do think are going to go for that deal?

So Trump is basically threatening to cut off trade with the outside world. Then he claims that he's going to reopen our coal mines, steel mills, and factories. All this as a PROMISE to Americans that he's going to bring high-paying jobs back to America.

But has anyone thought to question who's going to buy all this high-pri8sed Steel and manufactured goods? And who's going to burn all this high-priced coal? :-k

We won't be able to export any of it because it will simply be too expensive. Why would other world countries when to buy our high-priced coal and steel when they can have their own far cheaper? Or buy from other countries far cheaper.

Americans will have to buy their own high-priced goods.

Also, what about the American Auto Industries? Will they then have to start buying high-priced American-made steel to make their cars with? If so, then the prices of cars will go up too.

Also, foreign car companies that have created jobs in America will no longer be permitted to import their steel either, because Trump is going to cut-off America from inexpensive foreign trade. So they will end up closing the doors to their car factories. And thousands of American employees will be in line at the unemployment office.

How does Trump think this is going to work? Economists have already pointed out that Trump's ideas are not realistic in today's global world. We can't just cut ourselves off from the rest of the world. We need to learn how to compete.

Trump's dreams are delusional yet people seem to be buying into this nonsense. They believe his outrageous claims. But how is that ever going to work?

If Trump cuts off trade with forging countries and Americans start making high-priced products that only a few Americans will be able to afford to buy, that's not going to work. American cars will become even more expensive than they already are.

Canada will need to build a wall to keep the disgruntled Americans from rushing into Canada as the American economy collapses under Trump's faulty delusions.

Why would anyone believe that Trump is going to be able to cut America off from world trade and that's going to actually work?

The rest of the world won't be interested in America's high-priced products, and Trump won't allow trade with the low cost nations. So Trump will have effectively cut America out of the the Global Economy.

How can anyone think that would work? :-k

The ideas of a sexual predator who has been sued over 2500 times (70 times since he was nominated) and has lost over 250 times for bilking contractors - and who is slated for trial on child rape and fraud in the coming 60 days - is not something I would bother to seriously consider.

But yes, let's concern ourselves with emails that didn't come from Hillary - or her server - that might or might not be relevant of anything - and the loss of 4 Americans in Benghazi - all while ignoring the 22 MILLION emails destroyed by Bush and Rove at the height of the Plame investigation of TREASON - and the 66 people killed under Bush in Embassies and Consulates.....

Because republicans are not hypocrites and they alone (well, along with the sexual predator Trump) know what Americans need to be focused on.

Lot of stuff about Trump is 'maybies' he hasn't had a chance to prove himself.
Clinton has.

‘Saudi Arabia & Qatar funding ISIS and Clinton’
JP: The emails that give evidence of access for money and how Hillary Clinton herself benefited from this and how she is benefitting politically, are quite extraordinary. I’m thinking of when the Qatari representative was given five minutes with Bill Clinton for a million dollar cheque.

Assange: Clinton & ISIS funded by same money, Trump won’t be allowed to win (JOHN PILGER EXCLUSIVE)
JA: And twelve million dollars from Morocco …

JP: Twelve million from Morocco yeah.

JA: For Hillary Clinton to attend [a party].

JP: In terms of the foreign policy of the United States, that’s where the emails are most revealing, where they show the direct connection between Hillary Clinton and the foundation of jihadism, of ISIL, in the Middle East. Can you talk about how the emails demonstrate the connection between those who are meant to be fighting the jihadists of ISIL, are actually those who have helped create it.

And Clinton has proven herself to be a fantastic servant of the American people.

We have no reason to give Trump a chance to prove that he's an idiot. We can already see that. He's not a good business man. He's gone bankrupt too often and has stiffed his contractors. He's already a proven failure.

And as far as the accusation that there are emails that incriminate Hillary, that's all been nothing but lies coming from the Trump campaign. Not a single solitary email has yet been produced that could be used to indict Hillary for any criminal activity.

So the email scandal has been proven to be nothing more than empty accusations.

Hillary is the champion of the USA. Trump is the con artist crook.

Regarding trumpisms, Divine Insight wrote:Is this realistic? :-k
Trumpisms do not have to resemble anything realistic for the audience they arouse.

They just have to be loud, vulgar, and mostly anti-establishment. Where anti-establishment is defined as not Democratic nor Republican.

One company which he often belittles is Ford.

Ford is moving production of small cars to Mexico because they now pay an average of $70/hour to workers building these cars which they are then marketed to people making $30 to $40 dollars per hour. They can either relocate to a lower wage paying area, or exit out of that market -- as it is no longer profitable.

But they are not shutting these plants down. They are retooling them to make larger more profitable cars.

This may result in a net increase in the number of Ford employees!

If an incompetent president places a large import tax on these vehicles coming back into the country from Mexico, they will simply revert back to being unprofitable.

This helps no one.
