Eve, according to theists, has brought mankind down from the wondrous garden. But another way to look at it: she rescued us from eternal boredom by grasping the tree of knowledge and leading us to the cornucopia of ideas of today. Is she to be thanked or condemned?
Hillary is consummate evil to a vast amount of Republicans and Trump supporters. She may well not survive the FBI investigation, especially after Bill muddied the waters with meeting the AG (politicians can be such nincompoops). I think her sins are just being dumb with her casual respect for security.
So we have two indictable candidates (Trump's behind the 8-ball too) vying to lead the greatest country on earth. Is it time for the Second Coming, or what?
In comparison to Eve's rebellion against holy authority. Hillary, if not indicted, can only deliver us from Trump (the devil we don't know). Will she be an effective leader? We all know she'll have the b___s to face up to Putin if she survives Trump.
But if indicted, will Bill step in at the last minute and convince the Democratic convention to take the nomination for the Democrats, or will Bernie be the default candidate?
Questions for debate:
1. Who is/was the more evil: Hillary or Eve?
2. If indicted, will Hillary's husband become the Democratic candidate?
Who is/was the more evil: Hillary or Eve?

Has any President who served two terms ever been a candidate again?
Interesting scenario. Who knows?2. If indicted, will Hillary's husband become the Democratic candidate?

What's a more interesting scenario is Hillary losing her security clearance. What to do if she wins the election -- let Bill intercede for her? Egad, has Democracy peaked out?
No, but I think any former president would be eligible as long as the first period of service has been interrupted by at least one term.

There are no gradations of evil: any taint of evil puts one in hell.
The difference is not that demons sinned worse than a saint but rather they are not under the promise salvation which puts Christ on the cross for them but under condemnation which puts them in hell.
The dictum that a little leaven (sin) leavens (corrupts) the whole lump (person, city, country etc) presupposes a growth of evil from the smallest to the fullest that will inevitably control the whole. That is why there can be no allowance for the person who by earthly standards has only barely sinned. They must be forgiven in Christ and sanctified unto holiness or they must be judged.

PCE Theology as I see it...
We had an existence with a free will in Sheol before the creation of the physical universe. Here we chose to be able to become holy or to be eternally evil in YHWH's sight. Then the physical universe was created and all sinners were sent to earth.
This theology debunks the need to base Christianity upon the blasphemy of creating us in Adam's sin.

Wow! I am so doomed (according to Christian dogma). But you know that.
Sorry, it all just don't make any sense.

Yes, religious doctrine is absolute, without any flexibility. I think that may be its unraveling . . . if Jesus doesn't come soon. There are no gradations of evil: any taint of evil puts one in hell.
I suppose I'd have to believe in demons and saints for any possibility that what you say makes sense. The difference is not that demons sinned worse than a saint but rather they are not under the promise salvation which puts Christ on the cross for them but under condemnation which puts them in hell.
That's quite an indictment for me receiving a speeding warning . . . oh, and I had lusted for that red head with the freckled bosom. Oh well, I'm goin' to hell cause I refuse to play the FEAR game. A bigger sin to me would be to violate the ninth commandment "Thou shalt not bear false witness" for it would be a lie that I believed all of that malarkey. If that alleged "day of judgment" comes, I would say in my defense that I can't lie to myself and "God" that an all loving, compassionate deity could punish me forever just because I had no reason, no understanding to believe "He" exists. The dictum that a little leaven (sin) leavens (corrupts) the whole lump (person, city, country etc) presupposes a growth of evil from the smallest to the fullest that will inevitably control the whole. Post #6Your thought is wrong. As per Amendment 22 of the U.S. Constitution no person can be elected more than twice to the office of the President. It doesn't matter how many terms have passed since the person served.2Dbunk wrote: [Replying to Checkpoint]

Thank you. You are quite right. No, but I think any former president would be eligible as long as the first period of service has been interrupted by at least one term.
