A former campaign operative makes the claim that Donald Trump just wanted to prove a point by getting into this Presidential campaign.
He just wanted to come in a close second, at least in the beginning.

Just to prove that he could do it.
Questions for debate:
Does Donald Trump even want to be president?
Or does he mainly see this election as just another feather in his cap, more bragging rights?
If so, isn't this a dangerous game, the cheapening of a major American election just to feed someone's ego?
The Presidency and Trump..

The Presidency and Trump..
Post #1 My theological positions:
-God created us in His image, not the other way around.
-The Bible is redeemed by it's good parts.
-Pure monotheism, simple repentance.
-YHVH is LORD
-The real Jesus is not God, the real YHVH is not a monster.
-Eternal life is a gift from the Living God.
-Keep the Commandments, keep your salvation.
-I have accepted YHVH as my Heavenly Father, LORD and Savior.
I am inspired by Jesus to worship none but YHVH, and to serve only Him.

Post #2Can't speak to his current motives, but his campaign certainly seems 99% ego driven and has from the beginning. If he were somehow to get elected, one more reason it would be a disaster is that he would likely delegate nearly everything and just make speeches.Elijah John wrote:

The only thing honest about Trump is that he honestly will do ANYTHING to get what he wants. He has done everything he has accused others of doing. He just denies that with attitude and loudly repeats the accusations against others.

Post #4Trump might actually be smart and is just acting stupid to get the Republican vote.Elijah John wrote: If so, isn't this a dangerous game, the cheapening of a major American election just to feed someone's ego?

And besides how could anyone cheapen a major American election?
Haven't politicians always said whatever they think the public wants to here in order to get elected and then do something totally different once they get into office?
I would say that this has always been the status quo in a major American election.
JFK might have been an exception. I think JFK pretty much did accomplish what he said he would do. But that doesn't happen very often in American politics.

Wouldn't Ronald Reagan be another exception to the rule?I would say that this has always been the status quo in a major American election.
