GULF OIL SPILL: A Sign of the end? Or Political Mess?

Rev. 16:3: "The second angel poured out his bowl into the sea, and it became blood like that of a dead man; and every living thing in the sea died."

Did you notice that the oil spill is reddish brown? We have had volcanos and earthquakes and now the sea is turning brown like old blood--or the blood of "a dead man". I'm not saying this is the same as what we read in Rev. 16:3..., but I'm hoping everything doesn't die in the sea from this spill.

Someone sent this to me. I am neither pro nor con on it, but thought it might be worthy of interest. Question: GULF OIL SPILL: A Sign of the end? Or just a political and bureaucratic mess?

Vague prophecies seem common among fear-mongering societies.

Which fear mongered society are you referring to? And, how did you come to the evaluation that it is "fear mongered?"

To interpret the oil spill in such a manner would be to follow in the steps of John Hagee of some other fundamentalist pastor. Certainly a horrible enviromental mess, and a political mess for Obama, but not a sign of the end.

I have heard some people say that Obama is a sign of the end times :-)

Which one produced this and what do you know about them?

Thanks for the education. Now, how have you decided they are "fear mongered"?

lol, and I happen to find myself embarrasing this fringe thought at some times. I find it inconcievable that the intelligent American people would vote someone who is as un-patriotic, un-expereinced, un-american as Barack Hussien Obama. I can't believe he even won the primary aganist qualified candidates such as Biden and Richardson. But then again, we only have to look at South Carolina's Alvin Greene to gain insight into mentality of democratic primary voters.

A Christian culture. I know they have someone wondering if their vague prophecy can be linked to oil spills.

I have access to a dictionary, and the ability to read and understand definitions therein.

Yeah, I would possibly think so, too. Interestingly I got it from someone who is a little more mainstream. Let me check to be sure I am not violating any confidentiality between this person and myself before I say who.
