God's Actual Name

Post by jgh7 »

I've seen God called by different names. As much as I know, the consonants for his name are given in the OT, but the vowels are missing.

Does anyone here claim to know what the vowels are and thus the proper pronunciation of God's name. Or is it a mystery that will remain unknown?

All Israel refers to spiritual Israel (The born again Christians)
They will be. Romans 11:25-26.
ButCjristian include people that are not natural Israelites. Are these people that do not descend from Abraham also Israelites
Yes, they are spiritual Israel. I believe Jacob's descendants are the Israelites. Those whom do not descend from Abraham can be a spiritual Israel too, if they accept Christ.

Yes, they are spiritual Israel
So if natural Israel exists and spiritual Israel exist, could Paul not have been refering to spiritual Israel when he said "all israel"?

The verse mentions, "until the fullness of the Gentiles has come in" do all Gentiles believes Jesus now?
So they are not yet spiritual Israel but I believe they will be.

So they [Gentiles] are not yet spiritual Israel but I believe they will be.
That's not what I asked, I asked could Paul not have been refering to spiritual Israel rather than natural Israel?

Thus, the verse refer to fleshly Jews.
Romans 11:26
[Shall be saved] Shall be recovered from their rejection; be restored to the divine favor; become followers of the Messiah, and thus be saved as all other Christians are.

Who do you think blindness refers to?

Romans 11:25
For I do not desire, brethren, that you should be ignorant of this mystery, lest you should be wise in your own opinion, that blindness in part has happened to Israel until the fullness of the Gentiles has come in.(NKJV)

I'm glad. Now what about answering my question. Could it be that when Paul said the words "all israel" he mean all spiritual Israel rather than all fleshly natural Israël?
