Re: When You Stand Before Jesus, Will You Say To Him "You Are Not God?"
Post #32I John 5:20 doesn't say that Jesus is the true God. If one reads the verse carefully, one can see that the true God is the one mentioned before it mentions Jesus. Jesus himself said that the Father ONLY is the true God. (John 17:3) The "form of God" is being a spirit Person. There are lots of angels who are spirit Persons, in the form of God. Jesus is in the form of God in that sense, as well.Capbook wrote: ↑Sat Dec 07, 2024 1:25 pmJesus is true God. (1 John 5:20)

Post #34Person: An individual being, intellectually viable. Christendom teaches that God is "three Persons in one God." So "person" means what I said, to the self-described Christian community.Capbook wrote: ↑Sat Dec 07, 2024 3:24 pmMaybe we have different definition of terms here, may I know what is your definition from lexicon of;onewithhim wrote: ↑Sat Dec 07, 2024 3:17 pmI John 5:20 doesn't say that Jesus is the true God. 2. A spirit is invisible. (It can take on the form of a physical person, at will, just as the angels who appeared to Abraham and Lot.)
2. As spirit is invisible, can it have flesh and bone?
1 Cor 2:10-11, which states, "For to us God revealed them through the Spirit; for the Spirit searches all things, even the depths of God. For who among men knows the thoughts of a man except the spirit of the man which is in him? Even so the thoughts of God no one knows except the Spirit of God."
This passage emphasizes the Holy Spirit's ability to reveal deep truths and understand God's mind, which can be interpreted as a form of reasoning.
Acts 13:2
The Holy Spirit speaks and gives instructions to set apart Barnabas and Saul for a work.
Ephesians 4:30
The Holy Spirit can be grieved, which shows that the Holy Spirit has emotions.
1Co 12:11 But all these worketh that one and the selfsame Spirit, dividing to every man severally as he will.
