Infallible that there are only Catholics in heaven

Post by polonius »

Pope Boniface VIII (1235-1303 CE) promulgated a Papal Bull in 1302 CE titled Unam Sanctam (One Holy).

"Urged by faith, we are obliged to believe and to maintain that the Church is one, holy, catholic, and also apostolic. We believe in her firmly and we confess with simplicity that outside of her there is neither salvation nor the remission of sins...In her then is one Lord, one faith, one baptism [Ephesians 4:5].

….Furthermore, we declare, we proclaim, we define that it is absolutely necessary for salvation that every human creature be subject to the Roman Pontiff."

Here's a teaching which meets the requirements for an infallible papal teaching (ex cathedra).

Do even Catholic believe it anymore?

Before Vatican II, there were about 14 infallible papal teachings. Now we're down to two, and it's arguable if they meet the requirement for papal infallibility.

Isaiah 29:13 The LORD says: "These people come near to me with their mouth and honor me with their lips, but their hearts are far from me. Their worship of me is based on merely human rules they have been taught.

Mark 7:8 You have let go of the commands of God and are holding on to human traditions."

Therefore, brothers, stand firm and cling to the traditions we taught you, whether by speech or by letter. 1

1 Corinthians 11:2
Now I commend you for remembering me in everything and for maintaining the traditions, just as I passed them on to you.

2 Thessalonians 2:2
not to be easily disconcerted or alarmed by any spirit or message or letter presuming to be from us and alleging that the day of the Lord has already come.

2 Thessalonians 3:6
Now we command you, brothers, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, to keep away from any brother who leads an undisciplined life that is not in keeping with the tradition you received from us.

Titus 1:9
He must hold firmly to the trustworthy message as it was taught, so that by sound teaching he will be able to encourage others and refute those who contradict this message.

Do you notice that you quoted the supposed writings of the false prophet Paul, whose gospel of the cross is antithetical to the gospel of the kingdom. That would be building your house on other than the testimony of Yeshua, which outcome is that your house will "fall". (Matthew 7:24-27) The image of the cross is the image Sol Invictus gave to Constantine in 312 AD, and it is also the mark of the beast given through his false prophet Paul. No problem though, for that beast was to deceive "those who dwell on the earth" (Revelation 13:14), of which there are "many". Hold on to your idol of gold, silver, brass, wood, which can neither see, hear or walk. (Revelation 9:20) Plus it is said to keep Dracula at bay.

Paul preaches the Law has been nailed to the cross.

New American Standard Bible Colossians 2:14
having canceled out the certificate of debt consisting of decrees against us, which was hostile to us; and He has taken it out of the way, having nailed it to the cross.

Ephesians 2:15
by abolishing in His flesh the law of commandments and decrees. He did this to create in Himself one new man out of the two, thus making peace.

On the other hand, Yeshua came not to abolish the Law, but to fulfill the Law and the prophets (Matthew 5:10) Also, "until heaven and earth pass away, not the smallest letter or strike shall pass away from the Law, until all is accomplished" The main point of the prophets is the kingdom of God, which has not been established on earth, ergo all is intact. Ergo, your sins remain, and you remain subject to death and disease. On the other hand, those who have entered into the kingdom of heaven, are righteous, and have the ear of God, and can be forgiven and healed (James 5:15-16). The followers of the Roman church, on the other hand, are limited to the medical care you can procure with whatever resources you may have. Your priest can no more forgive sins of others, than they can stop sinning themselves.
