Herman Cain officially suspended his campaign after a third woman, by the name of Ginger White, accused him of having a 13 years extramarital affair with her. These accusations attracted alot of attention from the media caused support for Cain's candidacy to dwindle.
Questions:
1) Was Herman Cain treated fairly by the press?
2) Based on what you know, do you believe that these sexual harrasment charges are valid and that Herman Cain actually did have an affair? Or do you believe these accusations are lies and falsehoods orchastrated by those on the left?
3) Since Herman Cain's out, 9-9-9 is also out. Should another candidate pick up the pieces and revive this 9-9-9 plan? Would 9-9-9 be good for the country?

"Breaking" a story means pretty much the organization in question is the first to find out about it and put it to others.East of Eden wrote: ...
In that instance the MSM was silent on the affair rumors, and not until the National Enquirer broke the story were they forced to address it.

Re: The Demise of Herman Cain
Post #32As fairly as anyone is. Obviously it's a feeding frenzy, but what matters is that he got the same treatment as everyone else, however tainted by commercialism and vulgarity. And he and his suporters were heard, in all media not just TV.WinePusher wrote:Herman Cain officially suspended his campaign after a third woman, by the name of Ginger White, accused him of having a 13 years extramarital affair with her. Well, I don't know; I merely surmise. But as someone whose wife sued someone for sexual harrament and prevailed big time just this month, I surmise that he did everything that is being described against him. The affair is his business and not for public discussion unless he puts himself out there as morally snow white, so to speak. But the harrasment is a big deal, and as I have recently had occasion to look closely at this type of perpetrator, my judgment is with the victims. (I also think Clinton was "guilty" of many charges but didn't care). You get to know the type and how to get a read on the credibility vs. rhetoric and tactics of the parties involved. In our case even their lawyer (our new best friend) admtted that her client was in deep doo-doo and rushed to settle for a shockingly large amount to avoid even going to deposition. Cain is a narcissistic predatory cynical clinical psychopath IMO. And WAAAAAAYYYYY out of his depth, but that's another thread.2) Based on what you know, do you believe that these sexual harrasment charges are valid and that Herman Cain actually did have an affair?
Thanks for asking (and repeating this baseless and propagandistic slur); well played.Or do you believe these accusations are lies and falsehoods orchastrated by those on the left?
No I don't believe it.
If mindless platitudes dreamed up by cynical marketers are good for the country, then yes. (I know, I used to do this for a living).3) Since Herman Cain's out, 9-9-9 is also out. Should another candidate pick up the pieces and revive this 9-9-9 plan? Would 9-9-9 be good for the country?
Otherwise, no.
I won't be commenting further on this.

2) Yes they are valid. Why would he drop out if they werent? Why would he have payed the women to keep quiet if they werent?
3) No 9-9-9 is a failure. Raises taxes on 80% of americans. Also do the math... 9 - 9 - 9= -9

I'm wondering if the liberals learned their lesson with Clarence Thomas: takes more than one person's allegations to bring down an opponent.

Uhhh, don't we already have multiple women making a variety of allegations against Cain? Hasn't there been several payoffs to women making allegations of sexual harassment, in addition to the alleged long-running affair with Ginger White? Doesn't Cain's exit from the race indicate that there is some fire to go with all this smoke?
