Not at all, have you not noticed that even the wildest conspiracy theories put forth by the likes of Alex Jones et al are proving to be true. The left has put their propaganda machine on full panic mode, so now is the time to just go in and see what they have been up to, and the more they protest about the investigations the more confident you can be that we are on to something criminal.

If the intent was birthright citizenship as you hold, then they would not have needed the part in bold. Those six words were put there to exclude certain people. A common example would be like the diplomat from Denmark, we would not want to grant citizenship to her children because diplomat kids tend to be undesirable, but the Mexican gang member selling fentanyl, we would want to grant citizenship to his children so that those kids could petition their parents to come to America as drug dealers are desirable.

Now if this drug lord had been granted a green card when he enters the US then he would be under the jurisdiction of the US, then his children would be citizens if born in the U S A. That would be fine with me. If I am not mistaken there is a condition for green card holders that if they commit a felony then the green card is revoked and a permanent deportation follows.
The reason that Trump issued his EO on this is just to challenge it in court. As it stands congress has the authority to set immigration policy so he does not need to take it to court, just have congress rewrite the law. Article 1, Section 8, Clause 4

The whole hour is a very legitimate negotiation between two parties trying to settle a dispute.
