Jesus said to believe so you will see God’s glory. Now many believe it is after you die but no, a misunderstanding.
If you have not seen the glory of God then what you think is believing is not really believing.
John 11:40 NRS
40 Jesus said to her, "Did I not tell you that if you believed, you would see the glory of God?"
So, do you believe?
Have you seen God’s glory?
Have you seen God’s glory?

Post #21We haven't used placards in many years. We have been going door to door for over a hundred years, only stopping for awhile because of the pandemic. We kept on writing letters and making phone calls, and we have started up the cart work again. Your experience is unusual. And our message isn't one of doom. We present to people good news about God's Kingdom soon to come that will make the earth a paradise once again, as was the Garden of Eden.Ross wrote: ↑Mon Feb 27, 2023 12:38 pmI have not seen Jehovah's Witnesses going 'door to door' for a decade. Jesus was referring to what God would accomplish, through him. When we believe, we see with our understanding eyes all that Jesus has done for the glory of his Father. (John 8:50,54; Phil.2:11)
Since you do not believe you cannot see.
“He who believes in me shall do the works I do…”
Do the works and believe.
You think like man because of your response about God’s glory.
“Whoever seeks the glory of the One who sent him is truthful and there is no unrighteousness in him.”

Jesus sent His followers as He was sent with His signature phrases and with all of God’s word from the prophets before Him.

Post #25I do not understand what you mean. Are you able to explain?
I only meant that standing on street corners with (whatever you call them) reminded me of those messengers of doom.

And out of the strong came something sweet.

Re: Have you seen God’s glory?
Post #27What ignorance? That brother there with the literature cart is absolutely convinced that Jehovah is God Almighty and Jesus is His Son, that Jesus is guiding his congregation/church now in preparation for the end of this evil system of things, and he will soon rule the world in the place of all other governments. He talked about the Kingdom more than any other subject, and that means God's own government. (Daniel 2:44; Isaiah 9:6,7; Matthew 6:9,10) How can you call a brother "ignorant"? He's more sure of his beliefs than anybody out there in the churches. All JWs prove the Truth to themselves after thorough study of the Bible.Miles wrote: ↑Wed Mar 01, 2023 2:09 pmYou laugh at ignorance? Re: Have you seen God’s glory?
Post #28And your evidence is . . . . . . . . . . ? I see nothing in the picture to conclude that the "brother there with the literature cart is absolutely convinced that Jehovah is God Almighty and Jesus is His Son." It might be a possible, even a good possibility, but I see no certainty. In fact, for all we know he could be a paid agnostic shill, hawking god and Jesus on his lunch hour for a few bob.onewithhim wrote: ↑Thu Mar 02, 2023 1:59 pmWhat ignorance? If the "he" you're talking about is the guy in the picture, how do you know any of this? You don't. You're simply projecting. If it isn't the guy in the picture then I fail to see the relevance. He talked about the Kingdom more than any other subject, and that means God's own government. (Daniel 2:44; Isaiah 9:6,7; Matthew 6:9,10)
Because he's holding a sign advertising it. Not knowing something, in this case, what the Bible really teaches, is an example of ignorance. How can you call a brother "ignorant"?
PERHAPS, but as I've pointed out this isn't something you actually know about him, but simply what you think about him, and as we all know thoughts can be deceiving if not outright wrong. Gotta say, your confidence here is coming across more like arrogance. He's more sure of his beliefs than anybody out there in the churches. All JWs prove the Truth to themselves after thorough study of the Bible.

Re: Have you seen God’s glory?
Post #29We have said over and over again that there are MANY pronunciations of God's name, depending on the language one speaks. If someone just pronounces the Tetragrammaton, YHWH, that would be fine. To acknowledge God's name is most important. Do you have a problem with calling Christ "Jesus"? That is not the way he was called in the Hebrew or Greek languages. If you don't want to call God "Jehovah," then don't be hypocritical and use "Jesus" as the name of the Son of God.Bobcat wrote: ↑Tue Feb 28, 2023 8:36 pmPutting the emphasis on God’s name being Jehovah is part of the problem.
