The Jewish Sh'ma (their statement of faith) reads:
"Hear O Israel, YHVH is God, YHVH is one".
Some Evangelicals read the Trinity into this affirmation of God's oneness.
For debate. Was it the ancient Hebrews' original intent to convey the doctrine of the Trinity when they formulated the Sh'ma? What is the evidence for this?
My theological positions:
-God created us in His image, not the other way around.
-The Bible is redeemed by it's good parts.
-Pure monotheism, simple repentance.
-YHVH is LORD
-The real Jesus is not God, the real YHVH is not a monster.
-Eternal life is a gift from the Living God.
-Keep the Commandments, keep your salvation.
-I have accepted YHVH as my Heavenly Father, LORD and Savior.
I am inspired by Jesus to worship none but YHVH, and to serve only Him.
So you believe you are part of the New Covenant, you believe those laws are written on your heart but you don't know what those laws are?
I know exactly what they are. I believe that the New Covenant is not in affect yet. Otherwise there would be nothing to debate. Everyone would know what to do.
So it's in your heart waiting to take effect there?
