False Prophets

I do not write this with meanness, only to make people aware of the truth.

Jehovah’s Witnesses' prediction of end time prophesy began in 1874 by Taze Russell. Russell was convinced that this was the year marking the end of 6000 years, and of Jesus' invisible presence. Next, the Watchtower’s 1914 prophecy came into existence, yet insisting on the invisible presence of Jesus. Great cataclysmic events were to come, and within 26 years, all Gentile governments would end.

When 1914 came and went the Watchtower changed it to 1915. They claimed these were God’s dates, not men. Russell died in 1916, never seeing his prophecies come to reality. Their next claim, 1914 was not the date for the beginning, but for the end of the time of trouble. The Watchtower's current claim is, that Christ’s second presence occurred in 1914, and Armageddon is yet in the future.

Their next prediction came by way of J.R. Rutherford, their new spiritual leader. He predicted that 1918 would be the Downfall of Christianity and that Jehovah would destroy the churches and their members by the millions. When 1918 passed, the Watchtower moved the date to 1926. You can read about it in their publication of “Finished Mystery.”

Rutherford predicted the end would be precipitated in 1925 by the return of Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, and the faithful prophets of old, particularly those named in Hebrews 11, returned to the condition of human perfection. When that date passed, they expected the prophets to return in 1942.

In the 1960s, the Jehovah’s Witnesses began to teach that Armageddon and the end of human history would come in 1975: They would claim that in 1975 many of that generation would still be alive. Of course, 1975 has come and went, and Armageddon has not occurred. It is now 2025, and my question is, “How many of the 1914 generation are still alive.” My guess, is “none.”

In October 1995 the Watchtower claimed it was “the Creator’s promise of a peaceful and secure new order before the generation that saw the events of 1914 C.E. passes away.” But time has run out for them and the 1914 generation. In November 1995, the Watchtower replaced the above wording with “the Creator’s promise of a peaceful and secure new world that is about to replace the present wicked, lawless system of things, leaving out the phrase “before the generation that saw the events of 1914 C.E. passes away.”

So, there you have it, one false prophesy after another. No Holy Spirit, no truth! All we can do is pray that one day they will see the true Light, Jesus Christ.

You missed out 1920

Where did you get 1915 from though?
Out of the eater came something to eat,
And out of the strong came something sweet.

I too think JWs are a pagan cult and a Satanic joke with their constant changing of dates and interpretations - apart from their financial and pedophilic scandals.

I think that what we need to remember is that GOD took six days to make a perfect Earth and all its creatures - and that was about 6,000 years ago.
It woudl be logical to think that He gave Satan 1,000 years for each day to see if he could rule Erath as a paradise as GOD would have.

But then again who are we to hold GOD to a deadline?

I think we are living in a few years extra time with the GREAT REFEREE readying His whistle to end Satan's game?.

if you are interested in end-time prophesy, there are a few things in Hosea and Daniel I would like to discuss. No one on this forum likes to talk about end-tine prophesy. I enjoy fooling around with the numbers found in Daniel and the information Hosea has left for us. I stick strictly to the scriptures and history to draw my conclusions. If not, thanks anyway.
