What did Jesus ever do, that we can see, to improve the lives of mankind?
As a Prophet, what prophecies did Jesus ever make that have been fulfilled?
Jesus was a charismatic orator....he said some great sayings.....but what did he ever do?
IMO, all we have from Jesus are unfulfilled promises. We have nothing concrete that we can see. Did Jesus die for your sins? How can you tell if he did or not? How can you tell if you still have sins or not?
WHAT DID JESUS DO?

But, Jesus taught to obey the law. Period. You don't have to give up bacon. Beef and lamb bacon is awesome. I have eaten clean for a long time. The law can save no one. Torah(instructions) is how we show God we obey Him. Never was a path to salvation. Just the rules for this world.Avoice wrote: Belief in Jesus is because our God is merciful.
The truth is that Christians do not want to keep the laws given by God at Sinai. If they did they would be Jews. Or still be Jews. They are attracted to Christianity because it teaches that you can be free from the law and God will still reward you.
GOD IS MERCIFUL. He has allowed man to choose him or reject him. Christians may say they don't reject him because believing in jesus is God's plan. Yeah, its his plan no doubt
They say jesus us God therefore they are obeying God. Well, if the trinity members are all God as they say then why is the only one they obey made if flesh. Its all about Jesus.
GOD IS MERCIFUL
Jesus was given to those who desire the pleasures of this world more than pleasing God. They arent giving up bacon. God was very clear when he said don't eat pig. Well, God is merciful. The disobedient will live out their days and go to the grave with a smile on their face. If they didn't have Jesus their days would be spent in misery knowing that turning away from God will have severe consequences. God is very merciful.
LIKE A PARTRIDGE THAT SITS ON EGGS AND DOESN'T HATCH THEM IS LIKE THE MAN WHO GETS RICHES AND NOT BY RIGHT; WILL LEAVE THEM IN THE MIDST OF HIS DAYS AND IN THE END SHALL BE A FOOL
I didn't used to believe the trinity was false. But, even the new testament doesn't confirm it. God is spirit. The spirit. He alone forgives.

For God sakes, he negated the sabbath day even. Rather than discipline his disciples for plucking corn on the sabbath he defends their actions with an irrelavent excuse.
And when asked about the commandments he omits the first four. So does Paul. And thats okay with you is it?
You dont have to give up bacon? God said don't eat it. Didn't you hear him? And when i say vacon i mean pork. And people know that i mean pork. Because that is what people think of when saying bacon

I don't know what you are talking about. Neither Jesus nor Paul snubbed any of the commandments. And Jesus wasn't breaking any Sabbath law when his disciples picked corn. It can hardly be said that they were performing work by threshing grain!Avoice wrote: [Replying to post 11 by brianbbs67]

The work the Messiah is to do. He did none of it. Christians don't care about that. Him not performing in the capacity if the Messiah isn't why they love him. They are full on the words he speaks. Jesus allows them to live in peace on earth. They dobt worry about the herafter. They die happy. That us what hesus gives them. They dobt feel guilty thats why they vekuece in him. They really love themselves. Because if they really loved God (aka Jesus) they wouldn't have let him die. They woukd have buckled down and obeyed the law. Instead they let (so they think) God kill himself. Oh yeah...thats love.

Re: Jesus' Resume...WHAT DID HE DO?
Post #15Lots of words. Void of much sense. Jesus did ALL of what the Messiah was supposed to do. Isaiah chapter 53 tells it all, and no I do not accept that it refers to Israel as a nation as the suffering servant. I can blow that idea out of the water if you want me to. The Messiah was never prophesied to come as a physical conquering warrior and knock the Romans out of their collective sandals. Nowhere in the Hebrew Scriptures is that taught.Avoice wrote: [Replying to post 5 by Menotu]

Jesus demonstrated what he, the Messiah, will do when he reigns over the earth for 1,000 years, by healing sicknesses and raising the dead. He preached peace and love and spoke about what would come in the future---see Isaiah 9:6,7. PEACE is associated with the Messiah. Sure, he will strike the nations with a rod of iron (Revelation 19:15), to get rid of incorrigibly bad people, and then usher in real peace throughout the earth, a far grander thing than merely conquering the Romans.

Oh yes, and, Avoice......Jesus is not God. I think it has been said enough times on these threads, but I guess you missed it. Maybe you would get something out of the thread entitled "Jesus is not God."

I read your ither comment. You think its okay that the disciples were out gathering cirn on the Sabbath. Ok course you do. You have no redpect for the law. You want nothing to do with it.
Abd you don't give a tinkers dam if Jesus omitted the first four comnandnents wgen lusting them. Of course you don't because those pertain to God.
As for this seperate comment of yours .. I I read as far as you saying Jesus did all the work the Messiah was to do. I thought to myself: How ignorant can one be to think Jesus did all the work of the Messiah. Yeah...peaceful world we are living in..no more wars.
I then thought to myself : you are absolutely right on one thing. Jesus has finished everything. You are so right He has finished all he is ever going to do. You content with a loser. He is your messiah. But the Messiah spoken of by the prophets of Israel has yet to perform his work. Keep your do-nothibg Christian messiah. You have low ecpectations. As for the Jewish Messiah - he will bring peace on earth. Keep your messiah. Youve settled for an imitation and not even a good one. Jesus has done nothing and you are cool with that. Awesome job Jesus did.
As gir the Messiah spoken of by the prophets of Israel - Christians font decide who is the Messiah. The Jews do. If the Jews are still waiting so will everyone else.be. The Jews decide Not Christians. Remember that.
I cant waste any more time on you. I refuse to try and natch wits with people who have none..

Re: Jesus' Resume...WHAT DID HE DO?
Post #18The disciples were not "gathering grain" on the Sabbath. They didn't have a kitchen at their disposal where they could get something for lunch from the cupboard, so they took some grain from the field to eat. That was all they took the grain for. They weren't "gathering" it or threshing it.Avoice wrote: [Replying to post 15 by onewithhim]

I would refrain from telling me that I don't respect the Law. I respect it so much that I have joyfully seen its fulfillment and rejoice at the ending of animal sacrifices in the physical temple.

Eating is not forbidden on the Sabbath even if you have to pick your food.(it is already prepared) Any thing else is a traditions of men, not YHVH. This is the same thing Yeshua railed against. Traditions of man being taught as YHVH's orders.Avoice wrote: [Replying to post 11 by brianbbs67]

I don't see any commands of God ignored. Many Christians ignore them. I am of the Way.
You didn't fully read what I wrote. Is there a new Misvot that says bacon is forbidden to eat?
No, there is not. I seem to recall I mentioned beef and lamb.

*The Christ laid the foundation for redemption from evil works or sin.
*The Christ preformed miracles (through the power of God), during his physical life and does so in his heavenly existence.
*The Christ fulfilled prophecy.
*The Christ gave up physical existence (eternally), so that mankind can have an opportunity to escape eternal death, through a resurrection.
*The Christ clarified the will of God.
*The Christ exhibited love towards friend and foe.
*The Christ gave wisdom to those who sought it and some that didn't.
*The Christ sends help to strengthen those that believe in the plan of God.
*The Christ raised the dead.
*The Christ offers hope to the lost souls of the world.
*The Christ has forgiven all who have requested forgiveness and repents.
*The Christ has entered the minds of billions since his birth.
*The Christ succeeded in rejecting the adversaries of God, as an example to mankind.
*The Christ requested (of God) that He forgive those who unlawfully persecuted and would killed him, introducing a type of love that is very rare and should be practiced by all.
Hopefully, these limited statements will satisfy your request…
