Assuming that there is a God who has chosen to reveal at least part of his will to humans and assuming that the Protestant Christian Bible is essentially true, then what is meant by All Scripture in the passage above? What is in? What is out? And most importantly, who gets to decide and on what basis is this decision made?2 Timothy 3:16-17 (New American Standard Bible) wrote:All Scripture is inspired by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, for training in righteousness; so that the man of God may be adequate, equipped for every good work.

The church did not claim to decide, they simply recognized that these Words are of God.

Post #12Logic might lead you to believe that the various councils (man) were deciding what to believe and what not to believe but they were simply affirming what God had already given thru His Word.

good seed and bad seed in the same field
Post #14Two bible testimonies for the same point in history. One is true scripture and one is false. For you to be in spirit and in truth you need to know which is truth and which is false or you cannot repent from baring false witness.
Matthew 16:21 KJV
[ Jesus Predicts His Death and Resurrection ] From that time Jesus began to show to His disciples that He must go to Jerusalem, and suffer many things from the elders and chief priests and scribes, and be killed, and be raised the third day.
Mark 8:31 KJV
[ Jesus Predicts His Death and Resurrection ] And He began to teach them that the Son of Man must suffer many things, and be rejected by the elders and chief priests and scribes, and be killed, and after three days rise again.
For an objective answer to which of these is the true testimony test carfully all information presented at this link.

Time and history confirm true Scripture
Post #16Time and history will confirm true scripture. Below is the perfect example.
And Jesus said unto them, Ye have heard what men in the world say concerning me, but whom do ye say that I am? Peter rose up with Andrew his brother and said, Thou art the Christ, the Son of the living God, who descendeth from heaven and dwelleth in the hearts of them who believe and obey unto righteousness. And the rest rose up and said, each after his own manner, These words are true, so we believe. 3. And Jesus answered them saying, Blessed are ye my twelve who believe, for flesh and blood hath not revealed this unto you, but the spirit of God which dwelleth in you. I indeed am the way, the Truth and the Life; and the Truth understandeth all things. 4. All truth is in God, and I bear witness unto the truth. I am the true Rock, and on this Rock do I build my Church, and the gates of Hades shall not prevail against it, and out of this Rock shall flow rivers of living water to give life to the peoples of the earth. 5. Ye are my chosen twelve. In me, the Head and Corner stone, are the twelve foundations of my house builded on the rock, and on you in me shall my Church be built, and in truth and righteousness shall my Church be established. 6. And ye shall sit on twelve thrones and send forth light and truth to all the twelve tribes of Israel after the Spirit, and I will be with you, even unto the end of the world. 7. But there shall arise after you, men of perverse minds who shall through ignorance or through craft, suppress many things which I have spoken unto you, and lay to me things which I never taught, sowing tares among the good wheat which I have given you to sow in the world. 8. Then shall the truth of God endure the contradiction of sinners, for thus it hath been, and thus it will be. But the time cometh when the things which they have hidden shall be revealed and made known, and the truth shall make free those which were bound. 9. One is your Master, all ye are brethren, and one is not greater than another in the place which I have given unto you, for ye have one Master, even Christ, who is over you and with you and in you, and there is no inequality among my twelve, or their fellows. 10. All are equally near unto me. Strive ye not therefore for the first place, for ye are all first, because ye are the foundation stones and pillars of the Church, built on the truth which is in me and in you, and the truth and the law shall ye establish for all, as shall be given unto you. 11. Verily when ye and your fellows agree together touching anything in my Name, I am in the midst of you and with you. 12. Woe is the time when the spirit of the world entereth into the Church, and my doctrines and precepts are made void through the corruption of men and of women. Woe is the world when the Light is hidden. Woe is the world when these things shall be.
What you are reading is a fulfilment of the below Jeremiah verse.
Jeremiah 16: 19-20
19 O LORD, my strength and my fortress, My refuge in the day of affliction, The Gentiles shall come to You From the ends of the earth and say, “Surely our fathers have inherited lies, Worthlessness and unprofitable things. 20 Will a man make gods for himself, Which are not gods?
That testimony you read is from a gospel that was found in a monestery in Tibet 3000 miles east of Rome. You would not believe what else it contains.
At this link is solid evidence that the 4 bible gospels we have today came from one written gospel source.

The occasional link is fine, but be sure to give us your own thoughts. Links are meant more to reference supporting evidence than to plug a site.
The constant references to the same website leave others with the impression that you are more interested in pushing the site than debating.todd_vetter33 wrote:Time and history will confirm true scripture. Below is the perfect example.

We must continually ask ourselves whether victory has become more central to our goals than truth.

The website is my own. I could copy and past my thoughts from the website but then I have to re-color code text comparisons and re-do much of the work that is aready done.
If it appears that I am Spamming then I apologise. I'm just trying to put in my two cents so to speak with out leaving out a way for someone to expand more on the thought presented.
It was also stated in the rules that I was not allowed to make statements with out backing them up with evidence. The links provided give ample evidence to back the statements I am sharing with the forum.

The highly political and very much human councils compared the evidence and decided that one fit well with the currently accepted orthodoxy and one did not. Is there any evidence that God played a part?Heir wrote:So why do you think the Acts of Peter was rejected? Please tell us!
