Post #1When God impregnated Mary; was Jesus a man or a demi-God or half and half?
Proverbs 18:17 The one who states his case first seems right, until the other comes and examines him.

Post #32The bible makes a distinction between a servant/slave versus a son. . . God is a part of the servant/slave's life too.

Lower than the angels???
Post #33RESPONSE: Wow! In one swoop you took out any divinity of Jesus as well as the existence of the Trinity!!!TripleZ wrote:,, don't forget the full passage;2timothy316 wrote: Well, how many spirit creatures have been born of a human couple? Answer: none. Jesus was flesh and blood.
Hebrews 2:7 "You made him a little lower than angels;"
Heb 2:7 You made him a little lower than the angels, you crowned him with glory and honor,
Heb 2:8 you put everything in subjection under his feet." In subjecting everything to him, he left nothing unsubjected to him. However, at present, we don't see everything subjected to him — at least, not yet.
the numbering system is man made..

Post #35. . . Eve's childbirth was cursed implying the nature of the pregnancy is the original sin. . . The prophets are clear that Jesus' birth is asexual: he's a "shoot" from the root after the tree has been cut down (brit milah).wiploc wrote:How do you figure?John D. He didn't do it because of hybridizaton. He did so because they were evil.Tcg wrote:This is a very odd response. I didn't address the logic of this claim, but rather that if God flooded the world because of some kind of heavenly creature/human hybrids, why was he not bothered by Jesus if he was a heavenly creature/human hybrid?brianbbs67 wrote:
Just pointing out that creature of Heaven have made human babies in the past. So, the Holy Spirit making one is very logical.

Post #37When born on Earth, Jesus was a perfect human being, a man without sin. He was "divine" because he originated in heaven where he had existed for untold eons of time with Jehovah, his Father and God.Wootah wrote: When God impregnated Mary; was Jesus a man or a demi-God or half and half?
We have tried to define "divine" on these threads, but most folks continue to still hang on to the idea that it means "God." The first definition in the dictionary is as follows:
"Of, relating to, or proceeding directly from God or a god."
(Webster's Ninth New Collegiate Dictionary)
Therefore, according to this definition, Jesus need not be "God" to be divine. He is "of God," he is "related to God," and he did "proceed directly from God" when he came to the earth.

Post #38But sex was not the reason Adam got into trouble. God had already told him to multiply and fill the earth. It was a command from God, not something sinful.John D. Brey wrote:. . .
