Oh boy. I eagerly wait to see if Trump touches this or not. I'll be astounded if he makes fun of Hawkings disability. I wouldn't put it past him.

I seriously hope that other scientists pick up on this and publicly give their support to Hawking's quote, because it is the absolute truth.

Trump is not only a danger to America, but he's a danger to all of humanity. If there was ever a time for humanitarians to stand up for humanity and planet Earth this election in American is the time to do it.

I just hope that Americans haven't already been dumbed down to the point where they think that electing Trump as president would be a good idea.

Hawking's American accented voice simulator is so iconic and widely recognized that it would seem a natural for Trump to attempt to mock. We can only wait and see if Trump can resist being Trump.

We've been watching Trump; we like him.
Anybody would think he was running in Australia!!

I think Hillary is greater danger for the world. Trump talks of making peace with nations. Who else is doing that I have not heard.

What a profoundly sad choice we Americans have. Hillary Clinton or Donald Trump. Both should not be anywhere near the White House.

What a sad lot we have created for ourselves.

I agree, I'm not pleased with Hillary either. But if it comes down to Hillary versus Trump this is like reducing the election to voting for a human versus a deranged orangutan. Sure the human may be flawed with many human flaws, but putting a deranged orangutan in charge of the White House would be a danger to all of humanity.

I pretty much agree with what you've said here. But the only difference between us is that this is the major reason why I'm inclined to vote for Trump.

The derangement, narcissism, insanity, vulgarity, hostility, all of these qualities that Trump possesses have already begun to destroy the political establishment and the donor class. Trump has already changed the way politics is done in America, and in a positive way by drastically reducing the influence that donors and career politicians have in elections. If he's president then the way D.C operates will completely change as well, and this is something I'd like to see happen.

I also thoroughly enjoy the way he mocks people like Ted Cruz and Jeb Bush, and I wouldn't mind him doing that to members of Congress for 4 more years.

My only fear is that he might come very close to implementing Hitler like policies, such as his proposed deportation force or his blanket ban on an entire religious group. He also does not understand or respect how the separation of powers work and may attempt to usurp more and more power away from the legislative branch. He may even attempt to establish himself as dictator somehow, which would essentially mark the end of America.

A Trump presidency is completely unpredictable. I'm interested to see what happens in the same way that I get interested and excited when watching a horror movie, but I'm also kinda scared for the country.

So, what would we rather have - predictable with more of Iraq and more of Libya except move it over to Syria? Then we have Iran while stirring China and Russia untill some 'incident' and we have a nuclear war?

Unpredictable can do no worse.

Winepusher and DI:

I think you both are right - and that is terrifying.

When the two primary candidates are scraped from the bottom of the barrel, IMO, it is time to vote third party.

At least my conscience will be clean if the country goes belly up.

And yes, monta, it can get worse.
