Canada has put a moratorium on young male Syrian immigrants. Does that make that a terrible country? Does the fact that they were not given a statue with a platitude on it excuse actions that these United States have being criticizes for?

Does whether or not it's racist affect whether or not it's true?

Since this topic's been brought back up, I'd just like to ask what the people who approve of this particular Canadian policy think of Trump's temporary no-Muslim-immigration policy.

When one considers the atrocities that are prevalent in the land these people are leaving it seems reasonable, not ridiculous, to err on the side of caution. One may suppose that SOME of the Syrian refugees are terrorists. It may be that some of the women admitted to the country are terrorists too. But I suppose Canada is trying to be as fair as possible so as not to be regarded as bigoted and racist. It was reported that Christians were thrown overboard in one of the ships taking people to Europe; is it ridiculous to suppose that SOME people seeking refuge are killers? We should give credit where it is due and commend Canada's humanitarian actions.
