Ah, the first millennium CE. Yes, you only compared the destruction of sites by first millennium empires under the guise of theistic authority to modern day destruction of sites by ISIS. I agreed that there is a similarity and added that this is not just a theistic thing. It isn't really any different than "sacred sites" being threatened in the last 100 years by hydroelectric projects and fracking. To secular progressives, Christians and Muslims are both pagans. So, what is your point? State it plainly?

To a Christian Muslims are pagans and remember that Jews were prosecuted by Christians.
