The point was about the disparity in their relative political/diplomatic/military positions (and strength thereof). But since both the tone of your post, and fact that you didn't actually respond to what I said (not directly at any rate), suggested that your stake in this discussion is strongly partisan I didn't (and don't) see much point in trying to pursue a serious discussion.
