The Church of Christian Truthers

Post by Zog Has-fallen »

I believe that the true Christian faith is destined to strengthen the Truther movement and, in this debate, I propose that intellectually fearless, Spirit-filled Christians are morally required to make that movement livelier with a Christian emphasis.

By “the Truther movement, I need to be precise - absolutely unambiguous. And just so that there’s no ambiguity in my definition of a Truther, I mean a believer in the body of facts surrounding 9/11 as communicated in the writings and video lectures of Christian theologian Dr. David Ray Griffin.

In a recent gathering of Truthers, when asked what brought me to the group, I answered that it was my Christian conviction. I cited point number 7 in my newly acquired Millerite Adventist faith:

7. Christians are to impart divine illumination to the world for the purpose of bringing glory to God. And God is honored when His people speak with a united voice, when they're not deceived about anything, and when they're actively working on the forefront of every important cause.

Matthew 5
14 "You are the light of the world. A city set on a hill cannot be hidden; 15 nor does anyone light a lamp and put it under a basket, but on the lampstand, and it gives light to all who are in the house. 16 Let your light shine before men in such a way that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father who is in heaven."

Ephesians 5:11
"Have nothing to do with the fruitless deeds of darkness, but rather expose them."

My profession of faith was well-received so it seems that I’m off to a good start. Any objections?

Sure. Go for it. There's little in the way of evidence for Christianity or Trutherism, but I don't see that a serious obstacle for truthers or believers, and who knows if it might unite rather than divide.

Most people can't be bothered with the facts. For those interesting in examining the most compelling evidence-based Truther video available, I recommend

I've seen it and was uncompelled. I'm sure there are plenty of people out there who are compelled in a very similar Christian belief and Truther belief (although not exactly the same as you) so like minded compelled people should work well together. Seek out those people and go for it.

Right! You keep up with latest and best 9/11 documentaries and watched this 1 hr 50 minute documentary in 30 minutes. So why aren't you coming back at me with the best documentary that refutes the prevailing 9/11 conspiracy theory?

I love this rebuttal: Shut Up, Conspiracy Theorist!!!

Saying "I've seen it" does not mean that I watched it in the last 24 hours or even this week.

I'm supporting you here.

Not interested in debating your beliefs, though.

OK, so please explain how you're up on the latest and best 9/11 Truther documentaries but don't have a second to post the latest and greatest rebuttal?

Or do you agree with me that Shut Up, Conspiracy Theorist!!! is the latest and greatest rebuttal?

No. I already said that I wasn't interested in debating you on these matters. I have reviewed enough information on 9/11 to satisfy my own curiosity, and I am confident in my beliefs. I'm not interested in discussing it or debating it for a variety of reasons.

I am in favor of people speaking out for what they believe and joining groups of like minded individuals, so I support your efforts.

And I have challenged your alleged sincerity, which appears to be extraordinarily insincere.

I am hurt by that.

I think that my unflagging support on this thread for your mission would be proof of my sincerity as would my unwillingness to argue against your stance which you hold very dear. When I feel that someone really holds a belief to be valuable, I don't debate that belief out of respect for the person even if I disagree.

If you are looking for debate or disagreement, I suppose you could create a thread for that purpose or find websites where such debates are ongoing?

Best of luck!
