I would like to nominate Joey's statements, above, for the "er...." award.JoeyKnothead wrote: <snip to here, because, dang, man....>I challenge you to show where I've blamed you for my disbelief.dianaiad wrote: But you may not blame ME for YOUR disbelief, in anything. That's completely your responsibility, right or wrong. Own it, Joey. It's yours.
What I would blame you for is your utter and complete inability to, per the OP, show a god did him some ordaining.
Think about it.

I'll take that to mean you either lack the capability to understand the argument put before you, or you just can't address it.dianaiad wrote: snip to here, because, dang, man....

You mean I have to spell this out?
Try this.
Joey, if, as you say, you do not accept that God had anything to do with the writing of the constitution because of my " utter and complete inability to, per the OP, show a god did him some ordaining," then how are you not blaming me for your disbelief?
Here's the thing...if you don't find the evidence satisfactory, then it's YOU not finding the evidence satisfactory. It is not my responsibility...or 'fault,' that you don't, since I"m not in charge of the standards you are using to judge.
I can only give you what I have, y'know. The reasons I suspect God might have had a hand in it. If you don't see those reasons as being sufficient, fine, but that's on your head, not mine.
If it makes you feel better, call it your increased ability to reason and your advance perspicacity. Whatever, the decision whether to believe or not is yours, not mine.
This is, by the way, a slightly deeper point I'm trying to make here.
