Mental Expansion, shamanism - Christianity and Psychedelics

Post by manicdepression »

From the beginning of time, Shamans and tribes used psychedelic plants to expand their mind into the spirit world and mental expansion. They generally had the shaman of the tribe that they served to the community as the mediator between the spirit realms and the world. Now they use plants with a compound build of the chemical 'dmt', which scientifically has been known as the Spirit Molecule.

It seems as if some of the biblical prophets could have been simply a mediator between god and the world and wrote letters to guide souls to help the world to go on a certain path or what you may wish. This may sound radical, but with my personal experience with psychoactive plants, you have an inexplicable experience of mysticism, where you feel connected with the universe and nature. Stick with me here, there are accounts of which there is possibly evidence of Moses and The day of the sabbath was used for psychedelic mushrooms.

read the book 'Mystery of Manna'.

Now i have very hard depression problems growing up strictly Christian and experiencing these type of things, and my life has become very Double-Minded and its hard to cope with, the bible has lots of wisdom, but i cant accept the dogma that God sends people to hell and Jesus was the ONLY way to talk to god.

I would like some insight.

"My poison is thy tincture, my blood thine ecstasy; mix them together and experience immortality!" - The Serpent

"I shall weave up your spine like celtic knotwork until, penetrating the Heart and illuminating the Crown, I pour out the Clear Light upon thee like the Oceans of Time." - The Serpent

P.S. There is a three-fold meaning to the Grail, or Stone - the first being the medicine itself, the actual substance. This would lead to the understanding of the second level - the symbolic language, etc. - and eventually resolve in the third level - the enlightenment experience, psychic liberation, etc....

Happy Halloween!
Now some of you may encounter the devils bargain if you get that far. Any old soul is worth saving at least to a priest, but not every soul is worth buying. So you can take the offer as a compliment.

There is a big difference between kneeling down and bending over. - Frank Zappa

I 'preciate your clarifications. As your case is currently stated I think it is a reasonable source/path for one to explore. My concern was it seemed like you were on a 'one cure fixes' all approach. I too agree that psychiatry can often be more art than science, but I still recommend the OPer seek help from a psychiatrist, if only to eliminate that as a source of info/help.

The OPer ain't been around in a spell, my posting was for anyone else that mighta thought they were in the same boat.
Thanks for that.

And yes, when someone decides that he needs expert advise, of course seek it out, but agree after thought only, with anyone that gives a diagnosis.

The natural result of a post-Christian society is superstition. Once religion has gone, there is only superstition. There is little so superstitious as modern Western society with its horoscopes, crystals, feng shui, shamanism, nature worship ('ecology') etc. This is just the rebirth of paganism.

Can you show that Christianity is not superstition?
“What do you think science is? There is nothing magical about science. It is simply a systematic way for carefully and thoroughly observing nature and using consistent logic to evaluate results. So which part of that exactly do you disagree with? Do you disagree with being thorough? Using careful observation? Being systematic? Or using consistent logic?

Good question.

If Christianity is superstition then it is the most complex and elaborate superstition ever conceived.

Might as well just stick to horoscopes and tarot cards. It's easier.
