Green Christianity?

How about a thread discussing the fact that the majority of the stories in the Old Testament of the Bible are stories that were passed down by other cultures, other religious groups, over hundreds, and in some cases, thousands of years?

Rather like a giant game of Telephone. The stories are told over and over again, until they are unrecognizeable from what they started as, then someone gets the idea to write the stories down, and Voila! a new religion is born... Christianity.

I am an Atheist, so this is a fully open debate; all thoughts are welcome O:)

There ain't enough thesauruses in the world to describe how much Christianity is a reread of previous religions. And speaking of thesauruses, Jesus probably rode one. Might not'a ever read it, but some will tell ya up front he rode one.
I might be Teddy Roosevelt, but I ain't.
