Post #3The word house here refers to Jerusalem and the Temple, not the people. Israel exists today, like it or not. They are a nation of 12 Tribes. Have you ever seen how the Jews weep and pray at the wailing wall? They weep over the loss of their Temple, praying, that one day it will be restored. And one day shortly, it will be.1213 wrote: ↑Tue Jan 07, 2025 12:25 amRun from those who claim they are spiritual Israel. Amos 9:14-15, "I (the LORD) will bring again the captivity of my people or Israel, and they shall build the waste cities and inhabit them, and they shall plant vineyards, and drink the wine thereof; and they shall also make gardens, and eat the fruit of them. And I will plant them (the Jews) upon their land, and they shall no more be pulled up out of their land which I have given them, said the LORD thy God."
Hosea 1:10, "Yet the number of the children of Israel shall be as the sand of the sea, (future)---- and it shall come to pass, that in the place where it was said unto them, you are NOT my people, there it shall be said unto them (the Jews), You are the sons of the living God."
Isaiah 11:10, "And it shall come to pass in that day, that the Lord shall set his hand again the second time to recover the remnant of his people (the Jews), which shall be left, from Assyria, and from Egypt,---. He shall assemble the outcasts of Israel, and gather together the dispersed of Judah from the four corners of the earth." This began in May 1948

John saw New Jerusalem and the Temple in heaven and was told to measure the Temple. When it comes down from heaven, it will sit where Solomon's and Herod's Temple once were on Mt. Moriah. Mt. Morriah, the Temple Mount belongs to the Lord. He temporarily threw the Jews out and gave it over to the Gentiles, temporarily!

Post #4Yes, it is true that fleshly Israel is no longer God's chosen people. Peter said that God went to the nations to take out of them a people for His name. (Acts 15:14) Jesus himself said of Israel, "Your house is abandoned to you." (Matthew 23:37,38) Peter wrote to the Christians in Asia:servant1 wrote: ↑Mon Jan 06, 2025 7:07 pm Is spiritual Israel, not literal Israel--Proof= Galation's 3:27-29-- ALL who put on Christ are Abrahams offspring= spiritual Israel. Jesus and his disciples said clearly that Israel was replaced by the Christian congregation. Israel didn't want Jesus as the Messiah and even killed him.

Post #5The temple will not be rebuilt. Jesus (the one Israel rejected) is in heaven in the real temple not made with hands. That is the only temple that matters now. Jesus died once for all time, and the old temple was a place of sacrifices of animals. There is no need to sacrifice anything else since Jesus ransomed people from sin and death. Why is there a need for the physical temple?placebofactor wrote: ↑Tue Jan 07, 2025 11:12 amThe word house here refers to Jerusalem and the Temple, not the people. Israel exists today, like it or not. Never said the Jews would rebuild the Temple. I was referring to the heavenly Temple, the one John was told to measure. I said the Jews weep for the loss of their two Temples. Never said they would rebuild it. Islam's Dome of the Rock sits on the temple Mt. If the Jews ever tried to tear it down, the whole of Islam, a billion and a half of them would unite against them, both Sunni and Shiite.

Re: The Israel mentioned in Revelation
Post #9Revelation There you go spiritualizing that which is literal. The first 3 chapters of Revelation speak of the 7 Christian churches. 1 Thessalonians tell us what will happen to them moments before the tribulation begins. 1 Thessalonians 4:16, "The Lord himself (Jesus) shall descend (come down) from heaven with a shout and with the voice of the archangel (Michael or Gabrial) and with the trumpet of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first:" Then what? Then we (Jews and Christians) which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them (the dead who were raised) in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord."onewithhim wrote: ↑Tue Jan 07, 2025 1:05 pmYes, it is true that fleshly Israel is no longer God's chosen people. Jesus and his disciples said clearly that Israel was replaced by the Christian congregation. Israel didn't want Jesus as the Messiah and even killed him.
Where are we going? Jesus has been preparing a place for us in his Fathers home in heaven.
Who will remain behind. both unbelieving Jews and Gentiles worldwide. The unbelieving Jews will all be in Israel. Now the days of Jacob's trouble begin for the Jews who remain behind.
But there will be others besides these who remain on earth. 144,000 Jews of the twelve tribes of Israel. Very clear in Revelation 7. These 144,000 will represent the ancient tribes of Juda, Reuben, Gad, Aser, Nepthalim, Manasses, Simeon, Levi, Issachar, Zabulon, Josep, and Benjamin.
Others who will remain behind are God's two Witnesses. Most likely Enoch and Elijah.
Also, the two beasts of Revelation 13, The first will come up out of the sea, the other will come up out of the earth. "
This is the time of Jacob's trouble, the Great Tribulation. God's punishment upon the Jews and the enemies of the Jews, especially the descendants of the Edomites, who live in the area today at the South end of the Dead Sea, Gaza, and Tran-Jordan, Isaiah 63:1-2-3. From chapter four on of Revelation, the churches are no longer mentioned, except in Revelation 22 where Jesus gives us a summary, "I Jesus have sent mine angel to testify unto you these things in the churches," referring back to Revelation 1.
In this period of Great Tribulation, left behind are unsaved Jews who are not raptured. These Jews will live in horror under the banner of the antichrist and his armies, most likely the Muslim nations. In this time of sorrow, they will be given a choice, worship the beast and live, if not, they will forfeit their lives by being beheaded. But these beheaded, the Lord has a reward for them. Revelation 20:4, "They will live and reigned with Christ a thousand years." Also with them, Matthew 19:28, tells us, Jesus speaking to his 12 apostles, "I say unto you. That you which have followed me, in the regeneration when the Son of man shall sit in the throne of his glory, you also shall sit upon twelve thrones, judging the twelve tribes of Israel."
The Word of God could not make it any clearer than this. Only those who spiritualize these events for personal glory and gain corrupt the Scriptures by changing the message. For these, Revelation 22:18-19, God shall add unto them the plagues that are written in this book: And God shall take away their part out of the book of life, and out of the holy city,"

The Word of God is clear about what will soon happen. The U.N. will get rid of almost all religion and the Great Tribulation will start. (The U.N. is the image of the wild beast. It died, as the League of Nations, and then came back as the United Nations. See Revelation 13:1-15.) It is not clear from what you posted. We have said that the Christian congregation is now God's chosen people. The nation of Israel lost out because they refused God's Son. The "twelve tribes" in Revelation 7 are spiritual entities, a nation of spiritual Jews. But could this not be a reference to literal fleshly Israel? No, for Revelation 7:4-8 diverges from the usual tribal listing (Numbers 1:17 and 47). The listing here is obviously not for the purpose of identifying fleshly Jews by their tribes but to show asimilar organizational structure for spiritual Israel.
Scriptures that speak of spiritual Israel:
"He is not a Jew who is one on the outside but he is a Jew who is one on the inside, and his circumcision is that of the heart by spirit, and not by written code." (Romans 2:28,29)
"You are all, in fact, sons of God through your faith in Christ Jesus....There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither slave nor freeman...for you are all one in union with Christ Jesus. Moreover, if you belong to Christ, you are really Abraham's seed, heirs with reference to a promise." (Galatians 3:26,28,29)
"The Jerusalem ABOVE is free, and she is our mother." (Galatians 4:26)
"All those who will walk orderly by this rule of conduct, upon them be peace and mercy, even upon the Israel of God." (Galatians 6:16) What rule of conduct is necessary to be considered part of the spiritual Israel of God? Paul writes: "But God forbid that I should glory, save in the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ, by whom the world is crucified unto me, and I unto the world. For in Christ Jesus neither circumcision availeth anything, nor uncircumcision, but a new creature. And as many as walk according to this rule, peace be upon them, and mercy." (Gal.6:14-16, KJV)
To be the Israel of God there must be a oneness with Jesus Christ. This is called spiritual Israel.
