Re: What is the origin and destiny of man?
Post #3I believe the reason is that people wanted to know evil and therefore were expelled to this first death.
It depends on are you righteous or not. If you are righteous, you go back to eternal life with God.
These will go away into eternal punishment, but the righteous into eternal life.
Matt. 25:46
For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.

Our origin.
We were created by God as physical humans to live on this planet forever. Fallen man came about because Adam turned against God and didn't obey Him. So that is why we are in our present corrupt state.
Our mortal state
We are in our mortal state because of the disobedience of Adam. "...In Adam all are dying..." (I Corinthians 15:22)
Our eternal ultimate destiny
Our destiny is what God originally planned for us, to live on this beautiful planet forever. He said that whatever He plans to do will not return to Him without results. (Isaiah 55:11) So His original plans will be fulfilled. He made the earth for a reason. (Isaiah 45:18) There are many passages in the Bible showing what our bodies and environment will be after Jesus takes control of the world:
"Let his flesh become fresher than in youth, Let him return to the days of his youthful vigor." (Job 33:25)
"And the wolf will dwell with the lamb, and the leopard will lie down with the young goat, and the calf and the young lion and the fatling together; and a little boy will lead them. Also the cow and the bear will graze, their young will lie down together, and the lion will eat straw like the ox. The nursing child will play by the hole of the cobra, and the weaned child will put his hand on the viper's den. They will not hurt or destroy in all my holy mountain, for the earth will be full of the knowledge of the LORD as the waters cover the sea." (Isaiah 11:6-9, NASB)
"The LORD of hosts will prepare a lavish banquet for all peoples on this mountain; a banquet of aged wine, choice pieces with marrow, and refined, aged wine." (Isaiah 25:6, NASB)
"No resident will say 'I am sick.' The people that are dwelling in the land will be those pardoned for their error." (Isaiah 33:24)
"The wilderness and the waterless region will exult, and the desert plain will be joyful and blossom as the saffron." (Isaiah 35:1)
"At that time the eyes of the blind will be opened and the ears of the deaf will be unstopped. Then the lame will leap like a deer, and the tongue of the mute will shout for joy. For waters will break forth in the wilderness and streams in the Arabah [desert plain]." (Isaiah 35:5,6, NASB) Bracket mine.
"And they will certainly build houses and have occupancy; and they will certainly plant vineyards and eat their fruitage." (Isaiah 65:21)
"And they will actually sit, each one under his vine and under his fig tree, and there will be no one making them tremble..." (Micah 4:4)

Re: What is the origin and destiny of man?
Thank you for your great response.
I said: What is our eternal ultimate destiny?
Your response: It depends on are you righteous or not. If you are righteous, you go back to eternal life with God.
My response: Have you considered the fact that the righteous could not “go back to eternal life with God” if they had not lived with God in the first place?
If someone had a beginning they could also have an end.
If you draw a line it would hav e a beginning and an end.
On the other hand if you have a circle it has no beginning and no end.
So when we think in the concept of eternal life is there not also no beginning and no end?
So the question remains: What part of our existence is also co-existent or eternal with God our creator?
Thank you for your great response.

Post #8No i have not considered that, because it is not what the Bible tells.Revelations won wrote: ↑Sun Oct 27, 2024 10:47 am ... Have you considered the fact that the righteous could not “go back to eternal life with God” if they had not lived with God in the first place?

My response: Can you show from scripture that our ultimate destiny is to become like the angels?myth-one.com wrote: ↑Sun May 12, 2024 3:08 pmAbout 6,000 years ago.Revelations won wrote: ↑Sun May 12, 2024 8:35 am What is the origin and destiny of man?

Our origin (when we first existed.)
My response: If we are the spirit sons and daughters of God when and where we born as spirit sons and daughters of God?
My response: Do you accept the fact that God has given us agency to act and not to be acted upon to learn to keep his commandments?
Because that is our only state.
To become equal unto the angels.

Re: What is the origin and destiny of man?
Actually the bible does give clarification on this issue as shown in the following:
Ecclesiasties 12:7 Then shall the dust return to the earth as it was:
and the spirit shall return unto God who gave it.
As I understand it our soul consists of a spirit body contained within our moral body. At death our moral body returns to the dust and our spirit body returns unto God who is the father of our spirit bodies. The concept of we having a spirit body is beautifully illustrated by the prophet Jeremiah as showing the following:
Jeremiah 1:4 Then the word of the LORD came unto me, saying,
5 Before I formed thee in the belly I knew thee; and before thou camest forth out of the womb I sanctified thee, and I ordained thee a prophet unto the nations.
In the above it is very clear that we existed as spirit children of our Father in Heaven prior to eventually receiving our physical bodies.
As Paul further testifies and the spirit of God also testifies that we are indeed spirit children ofGod.
Romans 8:16 The Spirit itself beareth witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God:
17 And if children, then heirs; heirs of God, and joint-heirs with Christ; if so be that we suffer with him, that we may be also glorified together.
I hope that the above response gives clarity to the above issues.
