Good news

Post by kjw47 »

The coming of Gods kingdom is good news for all creation. A complete reversal of this satan ruled system of things. No more war, hatred, fear, pain. sickness, diseases, starvation, infirmities, no greed, cheating on mates, drug addiction, drunkeness, No mourning, outcries, even death will be no more( Rev 21:4) etc, etc= a cure all for what ails mortal existence. During Jesus 1000 year reign, satan is abyssed, the earth will be transformed into an Eden(paradise) a resurrection of dead loved ones who get an opportunity to learn and apply Gods will and get their names written in Gods book of life. Mortals made back to perfection, not aging like now. All created living things living in perfect harmony(Isaiah 11) But then satan gets loosed for a little while and all rebels(Gog from Magog( Rev 20:8) get rooted out, and death, Hades( grave) satan and his angels and Gog from Magog get destroyed in the lake of fire. Then Gods kingdom in full control forever, never again anything like this satan ruled system will occur. pure happiness, all motives of mortal hearts from love not profit seeking.
Gaining entrance into that kingdom has more value than all the wealth combined on earth. One must live to do Jesus' Fathers will now over their own will( Matt 7:21)
Like this-Matt 6:33--Therefore, keep on seeking- FIRST- the kingdom and his ( YHWH(Jehovah) righteousness and all these things will be added( sustenance, covering, spirituality)--Then one can accomplish this-John 4:22-24

Will you live for entrance into Gods kingdom?

But Adam died:

Genesis 5:5

Since Adam died, God did not create Adam to live forever.

Adam, Eve, and mankind was separated from the Tree of Life to prevent them from eating from it once and living forever:

Genesis 3:22-23
And the Lord God said, Behold, the man is become as one of us, to know good and evil: and now, lest he put forth his hand, and take also of the tree of life, and eat, and live for ever: Therefore the Lord God sent him forth from the garden of Eden, to till the ground from whence he was taken.

They died because they rebelled and God locked the tree of life up so they couldn't have it anymore. They would still be alive if they didn't eat of the tree of knowledge of Good and bad. Its the only thing God asked them not to do.

<====================================================>

The choice set before them was everlasting life or death.

Why do you claim that they had to continually eat from the tree of life to remain alive?

The implication is that if they ate from the Tree of Life once they would gain everlasting life. There is an urgency to separate them from the Tree of Life!

They died because the wages of sin for natural bodied beings is death, and they sinned by disobeying God's commandment to not eat from the tree of knowledge of good and evil. God had explained the consequences to them!

Had they eaten once from the Tree of Life, they would have been born again of the Spirit as spiritual bodies like the angels and live forever.

That chance of everlasting life was taken away from them to prevent them from gaining everlasting life. The entire Bible then details the methods whereby mankind can regain the possibility of eating from the Tree of Life:

Revelation 2:7
To him that overcometh will I give to eat of the tree of life, which is in the midst of the paradise of God.

Do you see how that works?

Please dont twist what i say. I said the tree of life must be what sustains mortal life to live forever. All the fallen angels will be destroyed in the lake of fire. They lost everlasting existence as well. See even in Gods kingdom mortals will eat of the tree of life. Those are promised everlasting life in Gods kingdom, thus as i stated it must be eating from the tree of life that sustains mortal flesh forever.

Fire doesn't harm angels.

Then the existence wasn't everlasting, was it?

There are no mortals in God's Kingdom:

And as we have borne the image of the earthy, we shall also bear the image of the heavenly. Now this I say, brethren, that flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God;... (I Corinthians 15:49-50)

Once again, there are no mortal flesh beings in the Kingdom of God:

And as we have borne the image of the earthy, we shall also bear the image of the heavenly. Now this I say, brethren, that flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God;... (I Corinthians 15:49-50)

Have you considered reading the Bible?

There would be no need for a new earth if there weren't going to be mortals--Matt 24:22 assures that flesh will be brought through on earth the trib and Armageddon. You need new teachers if they are teaching you what you believe.

The earth existed billions of years before mankind's creation. So the earth was not originally created for mankind.

The judgment comes after the tribulation and Armageddon.

Following the judgment, those mortals whose names are written in the Book of life are changed into everlasting spiritual bodied beings equal unto the angels.

All whose names are notwritten in the Book of Life are cast into the lake and suffer their second and everlasting physical death.

Christiany divides humans into two groups -- believers and nonbelievers.

Since after judgment all believers are changed into spirits equal unto the angels and all nonbelievers have suffered their second death, never to live again, why are there any living mortal humans after that time?

onewithhim wrote: Sat Dec 17, 2022 9:55 am It stands to reason that if a person exercised his free will and decided to rebel against God, that person would be removed, for the safety and well-being of the rest of humanity. He could live forever if he followed the rules.
Immortal: Incapable of dying.

A person who can live forever if he follows the rules is not incapable of ever dying. He is capable of dying after he disobeys a rule.

And immortality cannot be taken away once it is given. If an immortal being can die, then it was a lie that it was ever immortal.
Why are you saying that immortality was given to Adam and Eve? It was not. The only immortal was said to be Jesus (I Timothy 6:16). Adam and Eve were mortal but could live as long as they obeyed the rules.

I said: Following the judgment, those mortals whose names are written in the Book of life are changed into everlasting spiritual bodied beings equal unto the angels.

In Revelation 3:5, the Bible states:
He that overcometh, the same shall be clothed in white raiment; and I will not blot out his name out of the book of life, but I will confess his name before my Father, and before his angels.

I said: All whose names are not written in the Book of Life are cast into the lake and suffer their second and everlasting physical death.

In Revelation 20, the Bible states:
14 And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death.
15 And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire.

Here is a summary:

In John 3:16 the Bible states:
For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

Believers shall have everlasting life, nonbelievers shall perish.

There are two type of beings – natural and spiritual.

In I Corinthians 15:44 the Bible states:
There is a natural body, and there is a spiritual body.

Natural beings perish and spiritual beings live forever. Man is a natural being and will perish.

I said: Christiany divides humans into two groups -- believers and nonbelievers.

Once again, in John 3:16 the Bible states:
For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

One either believes or does not believe in Jesus as their Savior.

Then I ask you: Since after judgment all believers are changed into spirits equal unto the angels and all nonbelievers have suffered their second death, never to live again, why are there any living mortal humans after that time? Where are those humans which you believe will live forever on the earth?

Still awaiting your reply.

I have never said Adam and Eve were created immortal! They were created mortal, otherwise they could not die as Jesus said they would if they ate from the tree of knowledge.

But neither was Jesus Christ created immortal -- and we already discussed the true meaning of I Timothy 6:16.

<===================== Here it is again ================================>

I Timothy 6:16 clearly does not state that "only Jesus was said to be immortal" as you claim!

It states that only Jesus hath immortality.

But only those who understand the mechanism by which believers gain immortality can understand why "only Jesus hath immortality."

You obviously do not understand that mechanism.

Here is how believers gain everlasting life (immortality) under the New Testament Covenant between God and mankind:

<==================================>

The Lord Jesus Christ is the only human who ever qualified to inherit everlasting life under the Old Testament Covenant. He became the only heir unto everlasting life by living a sinless human life as a Jewish man covered under that covenant!

The Covenant was between God and the nation of Israel, and Jesus was born a Jewish man. The wages of sin is death, Jesus never sinned, Thus He is an heir to everlasting life under that covenant. It belongs to Him. He hath it as a guaranteed future possession!

Thus, Jesus is the only human for whom immortality awaits when the covenant is probated. It is His possession to do with as He pleases.

Thus "only Jesus hath immortality" means exactly what it states!

But Jesus will gift His inheritance of immortality to those who believeth in Him as their Savior under the New Testament Covenant:

John 3:16
For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him, should not perish, but have everlasting life.

Thus, salvation becomes a gift of God through Jesus Christ.

Romans 6:23
For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.
:D

This is how the fault in the original covenant was resolved!
