"So never be anxious and say, ‘What are we to eat?’ or, ‘What are we to drink?’ or, ‘What are we to wear?’ For all these are the things the nations are eagerly pursuing. Your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things. “Keep on, then, seeking first the Kingdom and his righteousness, and all these other things will be added to you. So never be anxious about the next day, for the next day will have its own anxieties. Each day has enough of its own troubles." Matt 6:31-34
The commandment was not to be anxious about tomorrow, but to keep on seeking to serve God's kingdom and all the things you need to live will be added to you. Since a kingdom seeker will be care fore in this why there is no need to be stressed about what one will have tomorrow. Ask for what you need for today and worry about what you need for tomorrow, tomorrow. This reinforces what Jesus said at Matthew 6:11, "Give us today our bread for this day." Thus if a person is seeking God's kingdom they will have the basics for life.

Post #5The scripture is talking about if one is seeking God's kingdom there is no reason for being anxious about getting food, clothing and shelter. It is not a blanket statement that one can't think about anything else other than today.WinkyDinky wrote: ↑Thu Mar 23, 2023 8:30 pmWhat happens to you, when you allow yourself, to give thoughts,2timothy316 wrote: ↑Thu Mar 23, 2023 4:13 pmThis scripture is best read in context.WinkyDinky wrote: ↑Wed Mar 22, 2023 5:01 pm Matthew 6:34

Post #9Nice opinion. I do not share it. I do not take the Bible and use its scriptures like lego pieces taking a block of scripture and then try to attach it to another and make a doctrine out of it. If that is your dogma so be it, but I do not agree with your interpretation.WinkyDinky wrote: ↑Fri Mar 24, 2023 2:54 pm
