What does this verse prove?

Post by Elijah John »

I, even I, am YHVH; and beside me there is no savior.
King James Version
For debate:

What does this verse prove, Biblically?

Does it prove that Jesus is YHVH?

Or does it prove that YHVH, not Jesus, is the Savior?
My theological positions:

-God created us in His image, not the other way around.
-The Bible is redeemed by it's good parts.
-Pure monotheism, simple repentance.
-YHVH is LORD
-The real Jesus is not God, the real YHVH is not a monster.
-Eternal life is a gift from the Living God.
-Keep the Commandments, keep your salvation.
-I have accepted YHVH as my Heavenly Father, LORD and Savior.

I am inspired by Jesus to worship none but YHVH, and to serve only Him.

I'm not certain of you thesis here but to narrow down to this sentence, how does it not conflict with Matt 7:15 Beware of false prophets. They come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly they are ravenous wolves. 16 By their fruit you will recognize them. Are grapes gathered from thornbushes, or figs from thistles? 17 Likewise, every good tree bears good fruit, but a bad tree bears bad fruit.…

What I said does not contradict this passage, rather again confirms it. Beware of false prophets— being aware of false prophets means there must be true prophets. Who were we told to listen to? “He who hears you, hears me . . . “ “ If he refuses to listen even to the church, regard him as you would apagan or a tax collector. 18Truly I tell you, whatever you bind on earth will be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth will be loosed in heaven.…

As for by their fruit you will recognize them . . . I couldn’t agree more . . .

Please watch . . .

Who today has not changed her teachings on matters of faith and morals, when so many other religions and Christian denominations have done so – caving to the fashions of the day? Who continues to help the oppressed, the downtrodden, and most vulnerable among us? Who upholds the dignity of life from the moment of conception until natural death?

Surely you aren't implying since men sin, truth does not exist. And surely you aren't implying God did not use ordinary, fallible men to do His work.
