Questions about Jesus and JW’s

Post by MissKate13 »

1. Jehovah’s Witnesses say Jesus was “a god.” This is how the NWT reads (John 1:1).

Do JW’s believe Jesus was a true or false god?

2. JW’s say Jesus is a created being.

When was Jesus (capital or lower case g) created?

I look forward to your responses to one or both questions.

You're right! I missed one!

How do you think that affects my analysis of Johannine word play?
Since it is "your" analysis, you tell me.
Just as an FYI, if recall correctly, Difflugia has never told anyone how to think.

I don't agree. I got the right to not and reserve to myself why. Somehow maybe you'll realize why the fact that you missed one very pertinent information to post that comment changed everything about its relevance.

Who is the speaker is Revelation 22:7, 13, 14?

REVELATION 22 -SPEAKER IDENTITY

Revelation Chapter 22 has different speakers. The challenge then is to deduce who is saying what.

REVELATION 21: 7 : The SPEAKER is ANGEL OF THE REED (compare Rev 21: 9, 15) The Angel, conveys Jesus' message namely "That He [Jesus] is coming quickly"

Image
Verses v8-10 John identifies himself as he interacts with The Angel of the Reed

REVELATION 21: 13, 14 : YHWH

The "first and the last" of Rev 22:12-15 (and Isaiah 44:6-28) is THE FATHER (JEHOVAH/ YHWH).

Image

Who is being quoted between, namely v12-15, is not explicitly stated . However , with no modifiers to the titles we can reasonably assume THIS speaker, the "Alpha and the Omega, the first and the last, the beginning and the end" is speaking in the absolute sense; which can be no other that YHWH The Almighty Father ( compare Isaiah 44:6, 41:6) For more details on the title The Alpha & The Omega see --> post #163

JESUS CONCLUDES

Next Jesus, reenters the narritive directly (see verse 16)

Image

Next, John in v 17 reports what he hears namely the words of "The spirit and the Bride " inviting all to benefit from lifes water.

- Finally the scroll is sealed surely not by John (who would have no such authority) but by the Lord Jesus himself (verses 18-20a) NOTE Below is surely not Almighty GOD speaking, as the speaker says "God will take his portion away..." not *I* will take his portion away ..." the SPEAKER of the words below must be JESUS
REVELATION 22: 18-20a

18 “I am bearing witness to everyone who hears the words of the prophecy of this scroll: If anyone makes an addition to these things,+ God will add to him the plagues that are written in this scroll;+ 19 and if anyone takes anything away from the words of the scroll of this prophecy, God will take his portion away from the trees of life+ and out of the holy city,+ things that are written about in this scroll. 20 “The one who bears witness of these things says, ‘Yes, I am coming quickly.’”

Why is he coming?

Jesus is “coming as a thief” in connection with the war of the great day of God the Almighty, with which Har–Magedon is connected. (Rev. 16:14-16) . For more on this see --> post #231

Your post is very confusing with all of its pictures and links.I simply don’t have time to wade through it all. It sounds like you’re saying Jehovah is the speaker. So I ask again just to be sure.

Who is the speaker in Revelation 22:7? Is it Jehovah or Jesus. Just a name is all I’m asking for.

7 Look! I am coming quickly.+ Happy is anyone observing the words of the prophecy of this scroll.”+ (Rev 22:7 NWT)

Who is the speaker in Revelation 22:12-13? Is it Jehovah or Jesus? Just a name is all I’m asking for.

12 “‘Look! I am coming quickly, and the reward I give is with me, to repay each one according to his work.+ 13 I am the Alʹpha and the O·meʹga,*+ the first and the last, the beginning and the end. (Rev 22:12-13 NWT)
”For unless you believe that I am, you will die in your sins.” (John 8:24

Neither. The SPEAKER in verse 7 is the Angel of the Reed.

The speaker in verse 12-13 is JEHOVAH.

Two different speakers. Hope that helps.

Be blessed,
