Paradise on Earth

When I learned that the Bible speaks of a restored Garden of Eden and the restoration of mankind to the perfection and endless life that Adam forfeited, I was thrilled. Who doesn't want to keep living on this beautiful earth, with our loved ones, and being able to do all the things we love to do---endlessly?

If God said to you today, "When do you want to die?" would you say "now!!"? I don't think very many people would say that.

We CAN live forever here on Earth. The Bible tells us that we can.

If billions of Christians are all the Bride, then who are they ruling over? - owh

I won't put a number on the Bride (the Church, the Body of Christ)... but the response to your question would be 'non-Christians' who are also invited into the Kingdom.

Don't you also believe that (some/many) people who were non-Christian (during their lifetimes or at the return of Christ) will be able to live forever on the earth?

Only those who accept the truth of Jesus and Jehovah when they are taught, during the Millennium. If they do not accept it, they will not be considered "righteous" and will not be able to live forever on the earth.

Without going into what actually happens during the millennium, those would be people who were non-Christian, now living forever on the earth. So there is the answer to your question that does not require that only some Christians reign with Christ during that time.

Sorry, but you're not getting what I am saying. Psalm 37:9-11 and 29, as well as other scriptures, show that only the righteous will live on the earth forever. Therefore, why do you keep saying that unrighteous people will live on the earth forever?

I'm with ya, here, onewithhim, for what it's worth. Yes, only those who accept the truth of the One True God (and come to repentance) during the Millennium. That's happening as we speak. These are the ones who, as we move through the Millennium, are repenting and believing on Christ and are thus in Him and clothed in His righteousness.

Perhaps the issue is that there appears to be a distinct difference of opinion as to who the 'righteous' are.

Such things are better left up to "he who gets to decide on the day", rather than waste time arguing as if it were one's right to decide for oneself, before the day.
Such an assumption may come from the bowels of unrighteousness...the end result of a rumbling within...

This is a bit of a tangent, but I do not see how anyone who rejects Christ (the Truth) would be granted eternal life from the person they reject.

The point is that there are indeed people on the earth during the thousand years, yes? So again, that answers the question about who Christians might 'reign over' during the thousand years. (Not meaning 'lording things over people' as the rulers of this world do, but reigning as kings and priests with Christ in His Kingdom).

It is not a person. It is a position. Christ is a position that the individual moves to in order to begin to understand the truth about who they are and have always been.
Earth [the human experience of] is a sojourn away from that awareness, but can be injected into it.

The point is that there are indeed people on the earth during the thousand years, yes? So again, that answers the question about who Christians might 'reign over' during the thousand years. (Not meaning 'lording things over people' as the rulers of this world do, but reigning as kings and priests with Christ in His Kingdom).

It is not a person. It is a position. Christ is a position that the individual moves to in order to begin to understand the truth about who they are and have always been.

No, William, that is wrong. The Christ is absolutely a person: He is the Anointed One. He is an individual person with His own name. He is also the Truth, the Life, the Light, the Way, the Word, the Son and Holy One and Chosen One of God.

You can make all the claims that you want, but this is not going to change. The Christ is the Anointed/Chosen One, and He is a person.

We all know I don't know me nothing about here in TD&D, but I'll tell it true...

I can't recall ever seeing me a post by Miss tam that didn't come it from a position of true, heartfelt love for her, her fellow humans. I might not can follow me the teachings of Jesus, but I got me little problem in trying (if failing) to follow me the teachings of Miss tam!

I mean, I cuss and fuss, but then here she comes along, and I get me a big ol warm fuzzy.

Thanks Miss tam. And you ain't the only one on this site that helps me to better understand the better nature/s of folks I think are goofy for believing in gods - where my declaring y'all being goofy, only y'all not being goofy, well ain't that just it a mirror on my soul.
